Superbly renovated activities for the kids (and adults!) our son had a great time, the new exhibits were fantastic, all done out to high spec. Great views from the viewing floor, the bubble activities are highly recommended, then all finished off with a treat in the cafe! The staff were all friendly and helpful too. Great value and well worth a visit.

We took two 9 year olds to catalyst and they absolutely loved it and weren’t ready to leave at the end of the day. The building itself and some of the exhibits need a bit of updating but they need money for that so need more visitors. We did 2 workshops which engaged the children completely and were aimed just right for their level! One was in a mini theatre hall and the other was in a chemistry lab with Bunsen burners and other exciting equipment! We ate in the cafe and spent a few pounds in the shop on experiment kits. Best day out according to the kids!

Went today with my 10 year old son and nana and grandad. We were in a small audience of 6 for the space show which was very well presented by Amy. I would definately recommend for a little peak into loads of hands on and suitable science stuff for kids!

First visit despite only being 10 mins away. Recently had a minor face lift, with improved entrance and cafe. Good selection of interactive elements, including some good new bits, and some local industrial history. Observation deck is great with views over the Mersey and new bridge, love the hydraulic lift. Good outdoor play area with a young child area and zip lines/climbing. Special mention to the staff running the hands on science session, very enthusiastic and engaging. Will be back!
