Make for car park at Catalyst .Three canals,docks locks, three bridges amazing estuary views and thee remains of three old work horse flat boats that once thronged the Mersey

Went here last month with all the family and its a great place to walk round plenty of open space and great views of the mersey and the canal. The Catalyst museum is just by the car park and there is a childrens play area....More

Great place to go you can take the dog. There's plenty for kids to do it's a fantastic place for an adventure and then there's the catalyst museum in the same area

Very nice walk alongside the river mersey plenty of birds to see and its a flat walk aswel ,also plenty of free parking. The new bridge is very near finished as you will see.

Probably a place for locals if the truth be told.But if you enjoy feeding swans,watching new highway's over rivers be built,and/or walking your dog this is the place for you.Or if you've had a long drive and are just passing through its perfect for pulling...More

I don't see why not. it's more of canal/river. You'd just need to be really careful because there's lots of big swans & geese
