There are a number of things in life you must say you’ve done, and this is definitely one of them. The drive is not for the faint hearted and I would definitely not drive through if your car is past it’s best. There’s no picture...More

Fantastic views and roads but if your going for the driving, do it at sunrise or early morning. Full of middle-aged blokes in pick ups or 4x4's with fake snorkels and massive off road tyres like a manhood comparing competition, or teens in their finance...More

A great invigorating drive through a wild landscape, make sure your car is up to it! Narrow, winding, hairpin bend roads, with potholes and the odd rock fall, we past 2 cars with tyre problems.... Well worth the trip, great views and stop off points,...More

You will need a good car and you should only attempt the drive if you have a head for heights and are happy to drive with due care.

We drove along Wry Nose Pass on Saturday 14th October starting at the Ambleside end and then re-drove it on Sunday 15th from the Eskdale end. The scenery is stunning- mountains and fells and sheep and water. The colours in Autumn are amazing with vivid...More

This has to be one of the most amazing roads in the whole of the uk, although it can be abit scary at times in the wet.

This was not much better than the Hardknott Pass ,to be avoided if of the faint hearted. No mobile phone service.

Hi. From where you are I don't know because I came from Milton Keynes. The nearest village we saw was Ambleside and I hope this helps. It's beautiful.
