Cumbria crystal is one of the last remaining producers of hand-blown and hand-cut full lead english crystal. We only use traditional glassmaking methods and our small team of highly skilled artisans are committed to making our crystal of both traditional & contemporary designs. The factory lies at the edge of the lake district where visitors can watch the mastery of the art of making exceptional crystal.

I admired some crystal bought by my brother which reminded me of seeing this many years ago but not recently as I have not needed to restock my crystal. However, I will be doing just that to replenish the whisky tumblers as they are so beautiful. What would we do without the Internet?

Great staff always willing to help not only with new purchases but also things like repairs to old cherished glassware. An excellent range of Crystal glasses, decanters, etc etc in many different styles. Through the window into the workshop one can see these items actually being manufactured.

I couldn't disagree more with the gentleman who criticises the Cumbria Crystal workshop. We visited last year, and enjoyed it so much we are heading back there today. The glass blowers are immensely talented, all the staff were charming and the crystal is wonderful. Yes, it is expensive (we bought vases for each of our 3 children for Christmas), but... More

We are slowly building our collection of crystal glassware by buying a delightful decanter and some tumblers at a substantial discount to the "perfect" prices. The "perfects" are sent to high class emporiums in the West End of London and the like , and sell to discerning clients including royalty. Join the ambience and indulge yourself at a more modest... We had never visited this factory before but were lucky enough to do so on our recent visit to this part of the lakes. The team at the sales section could not have been more knowledgable and helpful and we came away with several Christmas presents which will be well received by members of the family. `The crystal itself is... I was bought a place on a glass engraving course for my birthday. I had a really good time on the course and the glasses I engraved I was very pleased with. The person running the course was very good and he passed on his knowledge very well. The course lasted all day and was good value for money. They... More

Always like a trip to a crystal factory but this one is in a unit on the edge of a small retail park and doesn't quite have the same feeling compared to others I have been to around the uk. It was interesting to watch for a while and they have a small shop attached but I wouldn't say it's... More
