Well laid out display of the way water is managed and supplied. Very interesting, informative and interactive and good to see school parties being taken around. Some mind boggling numbers involved but you can't fail to learn from a visit here.

Hi There, Thank you for taking the time to leave a great review. The site is a wonderful place to explore and learn as there is a Wildlife Discovery Room and an outdoor classroom for the warmer summer months. Couple that with the beautiful scenery along the 8 mile trail around the reservoir and it surely is a great learning... More

massive lake with so many things to do. Probably a wider variety in the Summer but cheap to park £2.50 for 2 hours, £4.70 all day. Reasonably priced drinks, snacks and sweets with a number of shops and things to do. Large area for cycling, walking, massive play area for under 10s and definitely be going back next Summer.

Hi, Thanks so much for leaving such a kind review on your day out to Carsington Water. It's lovely to hear you had a great day, and made the most of what's on offer at this site. You're right it is much busier during the summer months, but still such a fun day out when it's a little chilly too!... More

Plenty to do here and Carsington Waters is pretty. Boat hire, hiking, walking, sailing, restaurant, cafe, ice cream. Good for children and informative. Small selection of shops too 10 minutes from the market town of Ashbourne and in beautiful surrounding countryside. Worth a visit and lots of things close by too for family entertainment.

It's been a while since we last went around the exhibition (the girls have long grown up and moved away). So we were there for the shops and a little exercise, when we decided to drop into the exhibition - just to see. The changes are great, they have updated it all, but mainly kept the education the same, just... More

This really is a super activity centre - canoe, kayak, bike hire available. There is a boatyard on the site for locals and maybe visitors to use for their own boats (I am not sure about that, but see no reason why not with reservations). There is lots of parking - great walks or bike rides - super playground with... More
