Amazing views and the landscape is breathtaking. Worth the drive up to the Peak District. If you're not fit you can drive up close to the peak and walk the ridge. If you're fit worth the challenge and climbing the whole thing.

Thoroughly enjoyed our morning walk along this peak. The hard surface enabled safer walking. Thank you National Trust. As a senior citizen, safety is paramount. The weather was sunny and clear and the views amazing.

Climb Mam Tor for the views...simply stunning!! Loved the walk to the top and then circled back to eventually end up in Castleton for a superb lunch. A not to be missed experience if you are visiting the area.

There's a car park right underneath it, if you put Mam Tor into the Sat nav it should take you there. It does get quite busy with coaches but mid week should be fine. There is a charge for using it.

Depending on whether , has numerous steps up from car park too, really depends on how much they like walking . Don't advise walking up in windy conditions!
