Quaint little pub

A hidden gem in Kegworth. Great pint of Bass from the jug. Just Like pubs used to be. Well worth a visit.

I first visited the "Cap" over 25 years ago, when on a course at a hotel in Kegworth. After a few days of hotel plasticity, I ventured out and found the "Cap" - what a breath of fresh air. Serendipity had it that 24 years ago, I moved to Kegworth and revisited my acquaintance. It has under gone several changes... More

Traditional local pub. as mentioned Bass from the jug and 3 OR 4 other ales. New landlady,so you can now ignore previous comment about surly landlord (wasn't wrong at the time). quiz on a Thursday. great garden. dog friendly.

Great bass from the jug (historically the pub's prime attraction) but limited other cask ales. Not open during the daytime in the week and doesn't do food (missed opportunities). With such little choice in Kegworth now, this pub is shooting itself in the foot.

This place has always been "famous" in the locality - famous for their great beer (still is) and their warm welcome (what happened to that). Cannot believe how the Landlord responded to me when I asked if I could taste one of the bitters. "Have you never tasted it before then" was his sultry, miserable, unhappy, unsmiling response. I think... More

Possibly one of the best pubs in Kegworth and the surrounding area. Chris the landlord will make you feel welcome and the regulars are always up for a chat. Fantastic beers - you'll find Cask Marque beers being sold regularly and Bass out of a jug. It's no surprise this place is packed at the weekend. There is a fantastic... More

Great little place open fire and a log burner. Great ales and traditional bass from the jug. Big beer garden should be great in the summer.

The staff here are always friendly, and are good at making you feel welcome and at home. Love the open fire. There's a charge for using your card for small orders but they're always happy to open a tab to avoid this. I quite like going here, and a bottle of wine always helps me to get back up that... More
