Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A sweet little town with nice shops and eateries. I loved the yarn shop-the displays were gorgeous and I had a chat with the owner who was very knowledgeable about her products.
There's a beautiful church and gardens too-really worth paying a visit.

Great secondhand bookshop with wide range of fiction, non-fiction, old and rare books, well organised and good value for money. Whether you want a paperback for holiday reading or something on history, transport, cooking, art, faiths, travel etc etc - you name it, there will be something for you. Lovely lady runs it and we love to visit when in Tideswell.

Given it's located in a small village and it has restricted opening hours, I didn't have high hopes for this bookshop - especially as I had been disappointed by Scriveners in Buxton.

Appearances are, however, deceptive. It is, as others have said, very well stocked, with a lot of nooks and crannies. The owner was very welcoming and knowledgable, and responded to a telephone query very quickly.

Spent a happy time here and wandered out with a few purchases. Worth a trip, especially if the weather is not that friendly, but do note the restricted days open - Thursday to Sunday inclusive plus some bank holidays.

This is a lovely and very well-stocked bookshop that is definitely worth seeking out. Lots of hidey-holes and unexpected corners stacked with books, and some nice cards designs on sale too. I THINK the opening hours are 10.30–5.30 Thursday—Sunday but only from memory! Also dogs are welcome which is a boon.

Could spent hours scanning the shelves of the gem of a bookshop. Great range for every interest all laid out in well labelled sections. Great prices and very friendly owner who knows her stock. Well worth the drive to visit

Such a shame that the owner of this terrific bookshop has passed away - it's a delight in every way. And great value too. Nothing nicer than rooting through the piles of books scattered about the place, never knowing what you might find.

A huge range of books piled haphazardly around the maze towards the counter where the owner very helpfully checked his lists of what he had and roughly where to find them.

A brilliant range of Sci Fi fantasy which was our holy grail.

This is my first visit to Tideswell, and so I was surprised and delighted to find a bookshop in the village. It`s the sort of bookshop that bookworms love, packed to the rafters with strange delights at every turn. Set aside some time and enjoy yourself. Tim is friendly and helpful and the prices are realistic. Can`t argue with 2 books for £8 really.

As a frequenter of bookshops I have never seen so many pre-owned books in one place. Its difficult to work out whats where as there own so many crammed into the building. They do however have it all catalogued so you can ask or phone to ask for any particular interests you have
