Good park, atrocious new car park
We are annual pass holders, and have been cooking form some time. For what you get it's a reasonable price. It can be busy, but all places will be. However there is one issue since an 'upgrade'. The carpark! It is absolutely useless for family cars! Whomever designed and spaced it needs some lessons in real life! If you have two zafira cars parked next to each other you cannot open the doors! The spaces are that tight. Why redesign it this way when it's obvious only families will be coming to this sort of place! We heard 10's of people saying exactly the same thing. Loose 2/3 spaces a row and allow people to get in and out easily without damaging other cars. Two MPV can't park next to each other. It's to the point we now arrive 40 mins early to get an end of asile parking spot, and ignore the 'parkers' telling you where to park.
Thank you for your review P2977QZthomasj. The new hard standing car park has increased our number of disabled bays and capacity. We are sorry to read that you do not feel the spaces are large enough. The bays meet the current UK norm for parking spaces which is 2.4 metres wide by 4.8 metres long. We hope that you enjoy your next visit!

Brilliant day out- even on a drizzly day!
Amazing selection of animals, which you can get up and close with. Despite the awful wet weather, it didn't stop us having a great day- just bring wellies! All the animals seem so well looked after and happy and the staff really make this place. They were all so enthusiastic when talking about the animals and answered any questions we had. The keepers at the owl section even brought out a couple of owls for a fly, and even though it was a little drizzly, it was great and so intresting. In particular, we loved Loki and the emus with their eggs! Me and my boyfriend only popped in out of curiosity when we were passing but we ended up spending most of the day there. If you are an animal lover of any age, this place is great for a little day out! Great value for money too and clean facilities.
We are so glad that you discovered us. We look forward to future visits!

    Great!
We came on a day where the weather optimised England, rainy and windy. On entrance, the man who served us was friendly and welcoming. We began to walk around the park and a staff member stopped us and asked if we wanted to do the Sherlock Holmes experience, which was very scary, but the gentleman was very friendly. Walking around the park was as pleasant as it could be considering the weather, however there were two female staff members who kept looking at me and my partner with looks of judgement and disapproval which was disappointing. On a brighter note though my partner and I spent an hour and a half at the goat enclosure, feeding them and stroking them. They were very friendly! I took particular interest in the little black and white goat that wanted a lot of attention! We are very keen to return to see how the goats are getting along!
Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent visit to Knockhatch Adventure Park. We appreciate you taking the time to provide your insights, especially given the less-than-ideal weather conditions. We're glad to hear that you were greeted warmly by our staff member upon arrival and enjoyed the Sherlock Holmes experience. We understand that it can be a thrilling and immersive activity. We apologize for any negative interactions you may have had with other staff members. We strive to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all our visitors. We will be addressing this matter internally to ensure that our team members are providing the best possible service. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time with the goats and found them to be friendly and engaging. Our animal care team works hard to ensure the well-being of all our animals. Thank you again for choosing Knockhatch Adventure Park for your family day out. We hope to see you return soon for another enjoyable visit.

    Great place to visit
Every time I visit with my family, some have annual passes and some don’t. The staff are always friendly and helpful, across every area of the whole complex. Also in areas where the animals are, we are given information about their natural habitat and dietary requirements. My grandchildren love seeing and feeding as many of the animals as they can. Each visit is different from the last, so the family members that don’t have annual passes, experience a variety of things and we never get a chance to see everything, because we run out of time. They are always excited to visit again, as a special treat..
Thank you for your recommendation corrinas295. We look forward to your next visit!

    Great day out although pricey
lovely park and improving all the time food good and resonably priced and lots for the children to do the age range I take is from 2 -16 and there's activities for all in peak times. in the off peak not so much ok for a play area but not good value for money off peak. parking there is plenty although entrance is very tight if others coming the other way. Well worth a day out
Thank you so much for visiting with your family!

    Excellent day out
What a lovely day we enjoyed with three generations of the family. I used someTesco vouchers and cash as there were 11 of us on Sunday. The weather was kind to us other than a few spots of rain. We spent 6 hours there and still didn't do everything. I find whenever we do our annual visit, new attractions have popped up. The Sherlock Holmes experience was new as well as the water shoots (great on a hot day). The children enjoyed everything and it's all good exercise. Still nice to have the birds and animals to visit and I noticed there was a more environmental theme. The only downer was that although the queues for food and drink were quite short the staff seemed very slow and not up to speed. If the queues were long I hate to think how long you would wait. However a great day out for all ages.
Thank you so much for visiting with your family. We add new attractions, enclosures and rides every year, so there will be more to see and do next year. Our new staff will be more experienced too so hopefully the queue times will be briefer!

    Great place!
Superb place for kids. Such an array of different things to do. In which most was included in the entrance price. Our daughter loved it. We spent the day there and still didn’t quite manage everything. But we will be returning soon. The only thing that could be improved is the kiosk next to mini golf. The poor lad who was working on this particular day was trying to serve at all three kiosks. The mini golf, ice cream/drinks and the donuts. He was run ragged and the lines were large. So could have done with an extra member of staff there. But apart from that I couldn’t fault anything else. Fabulous place and the price is great for what’s included.
Thank you so much for visiting. Whenever possible we do move staff to assist with busier lines. We look forward to your next visit!

    Educational and entertaining Meerkat Experience
I booked the meerkat experience for a treat for my daughters 18th birthday. We were accompanied by Alana, one of the keepers. She was very knowledgeable and clearly had a passion for the animals. We learnt a lot! A real credit to the park. We were able to feed the meerkats and seeing them so close up was amazing and whilst we were instructed not to pick them up, there was plenty of direct interaction (one sat on my head!) and it was a most memorable experience. We have visited the park many times over the years and it has gradually evolved and improved whilst managing to keep the feel of a more personal experience. There was a new splash area and I love the fact there is now a quiet play area specifically for those with special needs that can only be accessed by radar key. Thanks for a fun yet educational experience!
Thank you for being part of the Meerkat Experience. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the rest of the park too!

If you are looking for a place for kids 1-12 I definitely recommend going to knockhatch
Was fun, my family and I liked the dinosaur play area with the large slides. The bouncy pillows were a great interaction although my daughter was horrifically bounced onto the other side and banged her head. She was okay in the end. My son was actually bitten by a meerkat whilst we were here, wasn’t to pleased about that! We played the crazy golf, had a great time and my oldest daughter was very proud of herself to win 1st place!!
Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent visit to Knockhatch Adventure Park. We're glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed the dinosaur play area and bouncy pillows. Regarding the meerkat incident, we understand that our signage clearly states not to place hands into the enclosure. Even when having a private experience our keepers ask visitors to refrain from petting hem and keeping fingers in a closed position. Thank you for your kind words about the crazy golf and your daughter's victory. We're delighted that you had a memorable experience. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to strive to improve our park for all visitors.

    Fun, fun fun
So being from Scotland and on holiday in Bognor Regis we decided to look for some days out and luckily found this place online. We weren’t expecting much to be honest due to the price but wow what a surprise we got when we reached our destination. So many things to do and our son loved it all, me and the hubby also had fun 🤣. Most things were included in the entry price inc parking which is rare. Food was reasonably priced also with loads of choice which helps with a fussy eating child. Spent the whole day there and wished we lived closer to return. (Maybe one day) ❤️.
We're pleased to hear that you and your son enjoyed the wide range of activities we offer. It's great to know that we were able to cater to your family's interests. Thank you for your positive comments about our food and parking options. We strive to offer a variety of choices and convenience for our visitors. We hope to see you return to Knockhatch Adventure Park in the future!

Terrible! Queued for ages to get into the carpark where I had to park in mud where I got stuck. Once in it was far too busy...most things were shut (even the tractor rides which have always been open before) the only things open you had to pay for or the queue was too long. Only froggies open for lunch, half an hour wait just to order the food then had to stand to eat it as there was no where to sit!

I was in the (long) queue for a tea and my 15 year old son was standing in the shop trying to keep warm and was rudely ordered to stand in the corner until I arrived. STAND IN THE CORNER...! He is a quiet boy who wasn't doing anything wrong!

I have been many times and it has got progressively worse. So disappointed and a total waste of a day and money.

We are sorry to read your visit in Half Term was terrible. During our reduced rate Green Days (£8.99) the Dragon Castle area, Wave Runner & Boating Lake are not open. These will be available from the 4th April when Orange Days return. The boards in the park state when the Animal Encounters, Tractor Tom & Quad-a-pillar rides have an attendant and you should have received a time table when you entered the park. If this was not offered to you, we apologise. With regard to the queues, we are aware. We are in the process of recruiting & training new staff. With regard to your son we apologise that he was told to stand in the corner of the shop while you were in another building. Our staff should have asked him to return to yourself as under 17yr olds must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We have lots of new attractions planned for 2020, so we hope that you will visit again in the future.

What a stressful day for a family day out! Be prepared to queue for EVERYTHING! Waiting to get in for ages, the toilets, getting a coffee (which is very small!) ice creams, rides, drop slides!! All the playground stuff like the castle, bouncing pillows etc were too full and the kids didn’t enjoy as much as not the space to run around freely. Massive queue for go karts that you pay extra for and some kept breaking down so we gave up in the end and got a refund. I spoke to a manager who said the park wasn’t at capacity!! When asked what their capacity level was she said there wasn’t a limit and if there’s space in the car park then they will continue to let people in! When I said how much we had paid and had hardly used much of the stuff there she said that they are cheaper than other places! Not a very enjoyable time and feels like they are simply trying to make up for loss revenue over the lockdown period. I understand that but there needs to be a limit so all can enjoy. I wouldn’t recommend until they start limiting numbers of people so it is enjoyable for all.

This is the second time we have visited Knockhatch. The first time was really good but this visit was such a let down. Far too many people had been allowed to enter the park. The queues for food were almost an hour long and to get an ice cream or coffee the queues were similar. The toilets were few and far between and the main one needed a full time attendant - it was not a pleasant sight!

I also don’t think there is a lot to do at Knockhatch. The water slide and the boating lake are the only big things available unless you want to pay extra and when you come with seven children it’s far too expensive. I really don’t know what older children would do there. The bouncing cushions were not supervised and far more than the maximum 24 were on at one time. Yes there are the climbing areas and slides but these were also overcrowded.

My last moan would be that you need to make your coffee/tea cups bigger….they are tiny. A rip off and no mistake!

I was very disappointed with my visit today
The weather was bad but we thought we could have a fun day out. I feel the park couldn’t cope with the Covid rules there was no social distancing happening from children or parents , there was a 2 hour wait to get to the inside play area which was ticket operated, when we were inside no one was enforcing the mask rule and kids were pushing and shoving. I understand limiting numbers but a two hour wait is extreme for any of the indoor areas In my opinion , Most of the young staff were friendly but I did witness an older lady, (going by other reviews she was probably the manager as she had an umbrella )the lady was shouting at a child to apologise for flipping on the bouncy pillows and the mother was apologising for him doing it as he had special needs and wouldn’t process what he had done wrong but she wasn’t interested in that apology and told him he could never come back on them and needed to hear him apologise! she was then rude to someone else who questioned if it should be open anyway as wet as it was raining and states on the rules that’s she had pointed out about no flipping not to go in if wet , she said she decides when it’s too wet! Surely heavy rain would mean wet but the other staff were working on that area and didn’t say a thing they looked embarrassed at her behaviour ! Witnessing rudeness like that from staff made me take my children away from the area as it wasn’t nice to see. Quite a few people I spoke to did not enjoy their trip , I used to like this place but I am totally put off my what I have seen today, sad as my children usually have such a lovely time here

Sorry to read that you were disappointed with your visit. Like all indoor play areas we have had to restrict numbers. Tokens are available 40 minutes before each session to make it easier for everyone to plan their day. As quoted from the Jumping Pillows sign it does say 'Do not use when wet'. Our management team are assertive and this can/could be interpreted as being rude. We fully understand why you have raised this and hope that feel able to visit again. In 2021 we will be opening the new Dino Escape & Jungle Kingdom attractions. Hopefully you feel able to enjoy them if you visit us again.

Visited here recently to celebrate my sons 6th birthday. Had never heard of the place before booking the tickets so was interested to see what was on offer.
When we arrived, there was ample parking available and staff on the entrance building were helpful and efficient in retrieving our online booking.
Once in the park, there is plenty for the kids to do and much of what's on offer is included in the entry price. I've been to similar places where they charge for use of individual rides and the costs rapidly mount up. This is not the case at knock hatch and just paying for entry offers you more than enough to keep little ones entertained for many hours.
The park does seem has numerous rides for kids from toddlers right up to I'd say round the age of 12 - 13. They're us also a petting zoo, talks on the birds of prey they have there and loads of dinosaur themed stuff (simulators, soft plays and drop slides)
Catering facilities are also pretty decent and the family was very happy with the quality of the food we had for lunch.
The big wooden castle is a must also, I've seen similar thing before in play parks but this was on a much grander scale and the kids were happy playing in there for well over an hour until we moved on to the next event.
Overall, a really good day out for families with young children. The owners have clearly spent some money building this place and I hope they are seeing a return for their efforts. Lots to do and well maintained equipment makes for a fun and busy day. Hats off also to the staff also who were friendly and helpful throughout our visit.
Will be back here again before the kids go back to school

We bought a "Meerkat Experience Gift Voucher" for our 10 year old granddaughter, not knowing much about the Knockhatch venue. The weather was not great (dull windy with drizzling rain) and a number of events were closed but despite that we had a great time watching our granddaughter enjoying every minute. The meerkat experience and owl flying display were brilliant and we were particularly grateful for the effort made by Sophie and Mark who were both very pleasant and knowledgeable. In fact all the staff we talked to were very helpful and pleasant.
Because of the weather we did spend some time in the indoor play area where Sam was great in keeping an eye on our granddaughter at the top of the slides in the dinosaur park. He was very patient while she spent some time working up the nerve to take the plunge! Outside the Red Dragon castle was amazing and the various animals throughout the park made the trip interesting for those of us who could not partake in the more energetic activities. We hope to go again when the weather is better and all the activities are up and running.

Such a brilliant place, really reasonably priced too which is fabulous. We paid extra for the trampoline and the go karts, which were both thoroughly enjoyed. Loved seeing the animals and the bouncy pillows were a big hit. So many great things to do here that we didn't get to do everything. We didn't use it but I loved that there is a play area for SEN children, so great to see. We would love to go come back here.

The only reasons I have marked it a 4 are the ridiculous queue to get in. We waited a good 45/50 mins to get in, I know that it's the summer holidays but covid is still around and the amount of people that are now allowed in /queuing to get in, suprised me, I know restrictions are gone but it still didn't feel very 'covid safe'

Also the designated smoking areas, at a place meant for children are honestly just disgusting. Obviously the smoke doesn't just stay in that area and wafted right near my 4 month old daughter in her pram. Quite disappointed about those two things but otherwise, a brilliant place.

Thank you guys!! Xx

I had never been before and thought I would treat my daughter to a fun day out before she started school. Upon arrival there were safety measures in place due to Covid which I expected anyway. We started with a walk around the animals until we came to the small outdoor pool my daughter really wanted to go in but I didn’t know they had a pool (pirate cove) and didn’t bring her swimming costume it wasn’t very warm anyway. We then Came to the go carts which you have to pay extra for a go on them which I didn’t mind paying but the queue was too long so we decided to come back later and try again. We then found an outdoor play park (chestnut wood adventure play park) so my daughter had a play for a while before we moved on to see what else we could find. We came across the water slide (wave runner) my daughter got brave and wanted to have a go with me but unfortunately you can only ride individually and she was too small I won’t complain about this as it obviously for safety. My daughter then found the jumping pillow and really wanted a go so we joined a short queue and she went on. They are limiting the number of children on at any one time now therefore they cannot stay on for as long as they want and if they want to stay longer they have to re-queue which is understandable given the complications of Covid. I brought drinks and ice creams from the little hut next to the jumping pillow and they were quite reasonable prices. We then continued to walk around and see what else we could find. We played a game of mini golf and my daughter when on the Fairground swing which she absolutely loved she went on a second time as there wasn’t a queue. We then walked through the bird enclosures and came to the huge

Online ticket issue was resolved quickly. Good value day out. Kids had a blast. Plenty to do - we think best for for 4-12 year olds though younger and older kids will still have a fab day out. Space is well maintained and numbers are carefully managed so it didn't feel at all crowded despite being a half-term weekend in sunshine. Staff friendly and helpful. Good range of food options. Slightly put off by some of the patrons (vaping/littering, ignoring signs to wear masks indoors, especially in the indoor dino soft play and having to witness a heated argument between staff and a family as they were escorted out). All up a lovely park, we will return.

upon arrival we were greeted very politely! However when we said we had a carer and bought all of the paperwork the lady on the desk said we had to pay for the carer. Everywhere we go we normally pay for the vulnerable child and then the carer goes free. The lady at the front desk said we had to pay for a carer there and then. We booked online because on the website it says they are not taking any non pre booked customers. APPARENTLY if you pay on the door the carer goes free? How does this work then? If your being forced to pre book because of slot times but then not allowing the carer to go free because we didn’t pay at the desk? Anyway we paid because we’ll we were put on the spot and drove 2 hours away for the day. Also I did ring up the day before to ask about all this however no one answered. Moving on with the day we knew certain things would be shut but it was quite a lot when you get there and see? I don’t understand though because Boris has allowed soft play to open? And Thorpe park? And other places so why we were curious as to why they didn’t open everything?
Furthermore when going to the attractions that were open there was an overflow of people! I mean the limit must have been exceeded today! You couldn’t even social distance with the amount of people there! Surely by not opening most of the attractions you would have less people? Eventually my siblings managed to go in the splash park they had.whilst they were in there I decided to grab a drink because it was a hot day and I needed some water! I was queuing for the whole time they were waiting and in the splash park!! Approx time of 30 mins!!! The only good thing about today was the fact the go karts were free due to so many attractions being shut!! However £4.95 a kart is quite expensive when you only get about 3 mins on them on a normal day! Overall this has put me and my family going anywhere until everything is open and the country is safe!

Thank you for visiting Knockhatch. All tickets have to purchased online and we have created a discounted ticket for person with disabilities and carer of person with disabilities. When the Government permits us to sell tickets on the gate our iGo & Compass Card promotions will be enabled. This allows a free carer with a person with disabilities. Although the Government had allowed soft play to open there was significant guidance to follow and additional equipment to be installed. The Lost World Playbarn and Froggies Soft Play have now been re-opened. Our website is up to date and carries all of this information. Please click on 'Know Before You Go' on the home page. We have restricted numbers as per the Governments restrictions. We have 83 acres and have wall & floor signage reminding people to adhere to social distancing regulations. We hope you feel able to visit us again when the pandemic has ceased.
