We visited Thirsk to visit the Herriott Museum and to do a little bit of shopping. We didn't get much time to look round but the clock tower was lovely. We are looking forward to going back next year when on holiday

This is a proper English market square, and the clock tower sets it off nicely. There are lots of seating around the square, and it has a good selection of shops to browse.

The clock tower is prominent in the town square. It is located just across the crosswalk from one side of the square to the other.
