A soggy weekend but still great fun
Bug Jam 2023 was again a great weekend. Saturday was a wet mess unfortunately and the communication could have been better. Music on Friday and Saturday eve was awesome! Particularly Ibiza Symphony. Races on Sunday were as good as ever (only slight gripe is to communicate better when scheduling changes) Lee Bowers and Terry Grant never cease to amaze and the kids and us are always fascinated! If you don't want your children hearing swear words and seeing some colourful characters then this isn't for you but if you are happy to relax and take it for what it is then you will have a great time. Little Buggerz activities were fantastic too. Looking forward to next year just without the rain!

    Fab day out
Always have a great day out here even as someone not that fussed about cars (my partner is). Lots of stalls and food places. Exciting to watch the drag racing and other entertainment to see that's not all car related. Different events are more family friendly than others (some have a younger crowd who want to party where as others are more families and kids so that's worth considering depending on what you want). Food is expensive but is decent for what it is. Good atmosphere and worth travelling for an event. Take something to sit on the slope to watch the drag strip.

    Continually improving!
I've been visiting Santa Pod twice a year for the last couple of decades. the ticket prices have gone up by more than inflation (or it feels that way) BUT they are making investments in making the venue better. Toilets are better, the display areas are better, new lights, new speakers, new seats in the grandstands, its not going un-noticed !!

    Group ViP Visit
ViP lounge up to expectations with helpful friendly staff. I was disappointed with the gift bag, which was spartan compared to previous years, I was looking forwato having a new drinks bottle! Hospitality was fine, but the lunch menu whilst adequate was very basic pie (meat or veg option) with mash and vegetables or a chilli, then desert.

    Loud & fabulous!
This was my first visit to Santa Pod & I was lucky enough that it was the famous Flame & Thunder event and it was absolutely fabulous! With an incredible timetable of Monster Trucks, drag racing & stunt shows, this was an event that catered for everyone. And it was fantastic. I thoroughly recommend to booking a seat in the grandstand for the best seats to watch the drag racing but don't forget to bring some ear defenders!! All in, a fantastic day (and evening with fireworks) as well as good food and merchandise being sold throughout. Thoroughly recommended for an entertaining day out.

    Petrolhead Heaven
Wow! The Santa Pod Raceway is an absolute haven for petrolheads! Parking is very easy and well directed and wasn’t too far from the drag strip either. The layout of the site is well thought out with plenty of food and drink stalls (at the usual extortionate prices, but that’s to be expected at these kind of events). There are many shopping stalls themed to the event that is on and the area is genuinely a pleasant place to be. The staff we spoke to were all friendly and happy to help. We had a fantastic day at the main event 2024 and will certainly be returning.

This place needs to be on everyones bucket list !
It was absolutely fantastic. The weather threatened to damp it down but once the sky cleared up all the people involved made things happen quickly and it didnt spoil the day. We attended the Dragstalia Event and I had the Thrill Ride booked as a birthday present , it was the best experience ever. We will definitely be going back for another visit.

My first time coming to experience SantaPod. Bought £10 ticket and paid an additional £10 as a passenger but couldn’t use it due to weather condition, it started to rain and they have shut the racing track. Cars started turning back after 45 mins wait time. I went to reception and wanted to ask about the refund, but before even finishing my sentence I got interrupted by this blonde, with fake eyelashes, bad attitude and a customer service woman, who told me to stop talking and listen to her! Which kinda shocked me as I didn’t expect any of ThAt. Then she started telling the full story of what they doing and to come back in an hour to get my “voucher” etc I said to her but rain forecast is until 14:00 ( bearing in mind we are already queuing from 10.30am). So she turned me down and sent me out. Obviously it was difficult for her to process the voucher at the time and keep it at the civil level, rather than raising voice at the customer (me). I really didn’t get her logic why do I have to come back in an hour if all cars were turning back anyway? And why does she need to be so rude? In front of her other colleagues?
I am admin of Abarth Club and we brought 80ppl today to enjoy the event and have a pleasant experience. But someone like that rude and unprofessional can really f** it up.

no racing no communication I had pre-booked 3 tickets costing £63 I knew there were chances of rain and yes it did during the night and very first thing.
I went onto both Twitter and Facebook and there were no updates (where is your social media person??) so I arrived at 9.45 and straight away was worried as racing should had already started.

Before anyone says I should had known let me say this was only my 2nd time last time was many years ago and don't know anything about racing but wanted to experience the roar and smell the fuel.

I spoke to two supervisors and another staff member during the 70 minutes we were here and all they said was we haven't had any updates. YET people were still arriving.

I did pay for insurance and after checking once home read that on Rained of events there is no refund. Rubbish there should be something.
shame on you Santa Pod

Just about to book tickets for the main event as went a few years ago and loved it, nearly £200 for a family of 4 , 2 adults and 2 teens 15+16. So for the entry and a grandstand seat and before any others purchases cost was too expensive. Tickets have gone up from £35 last week to £45 this week and also the grandstand tickets went up. WHY? Won’t be attending, greed is a horrible thing, no need to add £10 to each ticket weeks before the event. Will find somewhere else to go.

I have been going to the Pod from its earliest days.

Remember before Health and Safety and you could stand in the Barn inhaling noxious fumes as bits of red hot rubber sprayed past you, the old Brit straight 6 dragsters and the fuelers being bump started on the fire up road? I do.

Today I looked at the site prior to setting off for a days racing and find that tickets for the Euros and many other events must be pre- booked online, down loaded to a phone or printed out attract a booking fee and you can't pay at the gate.

For all practical purposes I have been banned from attending because I own neither printer nor smart phone. I doubt I am the only one.

What's more if rained off there's no refund only a credit towards certain events valid for 12 months.

We all know its been difficult times for venues but actively stopping people from entering with cash, forcing them to pay up front, take a chance on the weather and keeping their money if they can't come on another date smacks of a complete rip off.

What fool decided to actively discourage people deciding to try the experience because its a nice day and how do they expect to bring in new customers to watch for the first time if they must chance a couple of 100 notes on the weather.

Over 50 years I must have spent £1000's at the Pod and now my cash isn't good enough!!!!

What a shame, I won't be visiting again.

Hello Onmebike Tickets just need to be booked in advance, they don't need to be booked online. If you don't have a computer or smart phone you can book tickets by phone from the box office on 01234 782828. Tickets that are booked online can be shown on a smart phone they don't need to be printed out. We hope to see you back at the track soon.

Poorly organised, chaotic and no communications as to what's happening. Firstly they park you in boggy wet fields where cars are getting stuck just trying to park when they arrive, to aid you moving when you do get stuck, they simply ram your cars with quad bikes damaging the paintwork. If 1 doesn't do it they ram you with 2 at the same time which knocked off several bumpers and left many visitors fuming. Secondly, they really need to use their PA system to tell you when track action will start. After waiting 7 hours with not knowing what's going on they finally start and then kick you off the seating podium you have patiently waited at for over an hour and a half by barking at you. The women security lady was quite rude and foul mouthed (possibly needs a hug) to several groups including some with children. Thirdly, £31 a ticket per adult for this mess what a joke. I would strongly suggest you avoid this place as it's not even worth £10 entry. Finally... Mud mud and more mud.... Invest some money onto gravel parking maybe and updating visitors to why things haven't started.

Hubby raced on Saturday, I turned up to meet him. Food court has many options, vegans be happy in the knowledge you won’t starve! Tea huts have soya/oat milk, lots of different requirements are catered for. Well organised racing as so established. One thing to note moaning people......I have spoken to a few members of staff, many of these are VOLUNTEERS, they are not paid! They do what they do for the love of motorsport. So....Quit yer b*tchin!

Had another good visit this bank holiday. It is expensive for adults but it was entertaining. The only reason we wasn’t really happy with this visit was the wall of death was charging £3 each extra to see it. I brought my family plus a few friends and it cost an arm and a leg to get in as it was. It would’ve cost me another £30 to see that too. Hence we didn’t see it. The first bank holiday in may we went to Santa pod and the wall of death was included in the visit but not this time. We noticed there was a circus tent but we was given no times or any info regarding that. Even if you have an a4 paper sheet with timings and info about when and what at the entry gate. It seemed a bit mis-ran. The commentator I think didn’t know about the fly past until the plane first flew over. The races was entertaining though.

Recently went to Santa Pod for the first time with my motor racing mad 4 year old. We had a fantastic day so much going on, on track and off. It really was a great day. The only negative was actually trying to get out of the place at the end of the day I was in the car park for over an hour trying to get out which to be honest tarnished what was a great day. I get how difficult it is trying to get lots of people out of a venue but there didn't seem to be a plan to do it and there were cars everywhere and lots of very frustrated/agitated people.
