Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The station was built in 1906 and was the third building to house the fire brigade, the first being on the corner of Victoria & Bridport Streets. (The fire station moved back to a new site in Bridport Street in recent years.) The building is eye-catching from the outside, sadly the interior has been modernised to the point that no original feature can be recognised.
Once you step in side there is a modern and open Visitor Centre. The staff are professional and happy to answer questions or make suggestions. There is a large range of brochures available and also a good amount of local produce items on sale.

Although Covid has curtailed the retail activities, you can still call in for brochures, maps and a cold drink. We collected what we needed and went for lunch nearby. They also had restaurant menus and brochures.

Our first stop was this place.
You get a nice welcome from a four legged friend, you will find a lovely carm dog laying on the floor.
There are heaps of brochures on all different types of activities and accommodation.
The team are friendly, but they do get busy

Went on the off chance they could give us directions, spent about an hour being regaled on the great places to visit in the Daylesford/Hepburn Springs region.
The staff were just incredible, helpful and passionate about the region and the places to visit.
This has to be the first stop for any visitor.

Located in the old Fire Station on the main road the Visitor Centre is well appointed with maps & booklets of the local area, accommodation, restaurants & attractions. Friendly & helpful staff were eager to help me find directions to our accommodation out of town & offer suggestions on what to see & do during our stay.
