Very family friendly beach with calm water, clean sand centred on the Bongaree shops and jetty area. Good for swimming, fishing or just sitting on the sea wall with your packet of fish and chips watching an east coast sunset over the water.

Great for a swim at high tide. BBQ areas and playgrounds along the foreshore with walking paths. Water can drop off deep in areas. Normally calm. Great for tubing or fishing.

Beautiful vistas across the passage and lovely big trees along the wide winding path. It's popular with walkers, runners and cyclists. There are several gym spots and kids'playgrounds along the way. The jetty area has several shops too.

Teach your kids to fish in these quiet waters. Take a picnic and make a day if it. Our family of 12 had a ball with a careful of friends which made this day magic. A must visit if you have young kids

This is a great place to walk and enjoy the jetty. Sometimes you will see dolphins and turtles and other fish.It is close to many restaurants and shops. A family setting.

I'm obviously spoiled coming from the west coast - where beaches have expansive white sand and clear blue water. This is one of the interior beaches of Bribie island with a thin sliver of sand and some flowing brownish water. Pleasant enough for a dip...More
