We had a rental car and drove from Port Douglas. Highly recommend planning at least a full day here to give yourself time to explore the nature trails and miles of stunning beaches. We had to rush back to the ferry station for an afternoon...More
The Daintree was a breathtaking and interesting trip we took on our holiday in North Queensland. Once you see it, you’ll see that no documentary can compare to its actual beauty.
An important natural wonder everyone needs to see at least once in their lives.
The logo is where the rainforest meets the sea! And it was beautiful unspoilt and relatively free of people. It is easy to find a quiet beach with no one around. There are several different and well done walkways through the forest or the mangroves....More

We drove up to daintree from port Douglas. We drove first to jungle surfing (highly recommend doing this in the morning as it does get sticky as it gets warmer) and checked out myall beach after then went a bit further up to cape tribulation (stunning!!) before heading back down stopping at Noah beach, marrdja boardwalk, Thornton beach and cow bay. There’s a nice river you can swim at behind masons cafe too. We didn’t plan our drive home just stopped where we wanted to but each beach is so different from the last despite being so close so I’d recommend checking them out. Do take insect repellant if doing jungle walks and mangroves.
