We found this much better than the discovery centre, we really enjoyed it with the kids. The best thing is that it is free! well worth the stop! Takes about 30min to do the round trip

I don't consider myself too much of a wimp. I don't really like spiders but living in Australia I thought I could deal with them pretty happily. That is until I went for a walk along this board walk. There were hundreds of round holes in the earth surrounding it. I figured I probably didn't want to know what lived... More

This boardwalk is a lot quieter than the discovery centre however it is very well maintained by the local council. The boardwalk gives you ample oppertunity to ecplorevthe rainforest and is similar in area to the discovery centre. There are animals galore in this boardwalk and if you have the time and patience to take a seat and just take... More

Got lucky with our timing as the boardwalk improvement maintenence finished the day before. Lots of spiders, insects, crabs, birds and even some fish. Took about 45 mins. Easy flat walk and finishes in the beach! Take a walk along the beach the the right.. awesome palm tree bent over. Great for pics

Nice easy walk, some of it was shut off for maintenance but still enjoyable, don't forget your mozzie repellant as you'll certainly need it!

Unfortunately part of the boardwalk was closed for repairs when we did this walk a few weeks ago but it was still a nice walk. The thick stands of fan palms on some sections of the boardwalk are simply beautiful. My least favourite of the three free Boardwalks (Dubuji, Jindalba & Marrdja) mainly due to the closed section making it... More

This would probably be more interesting for non-australians or those who haven't grown up near the coast. As someone who went on many-a field trip to mangrove swamps with school, this was a pretty average walk.

Unfortunately 500 mtr of this 1200 mtr track was not available, but we still got to see many things, monitor lizard, cane toads, mice and rats, butterflies and a cassuary!

An easy 1km or so walk, the boardwalk winds its way through the mangroves, shaded by a canopy of enormous fan palms, strangler figs and vines. Very peaceful and well signposted, the walk was a great way to view a tropical mangrove. Well worth a look. Take your repellent for the mozzies though!
