Close at hand to the airport and cosmos centre this one is worth [popping in on too. Entry by donation. Small enough to only need a half hour if that is all you have but filled with enough information that you could spend an hour...More

At Charleville airport, alongside the RFDS office and hanger, is a building housing the story of the Royal Flying Doctor in Charleville, since 1947. A most interesting collection of original equipment , photos and stories.

We were very surprised to find this display of the history of the RFDS and how the School of the Air benifited from the communications systems. Well presented and very informative with some hands-on items. This is well worth a visit.

This has a comprehensive history of the RFD. Lots of information in the static displays. Be prepared to do a lot of reading. Just get out there and help the Flying Doctors with a donation, it cost nothing to see the display.

A great display of the work and history of the RFDS in bringing help and life to the outback. Clearly well maintained, the exhibits are informative and interactive.

I have to declare, upfront, that I am biased. In 2012 I was travelling out west, and burst my appendix. Eighteen hours later I reached Charleville Hospital, then was whisked off by the Royal Flying Doctor Servcie (RFDS) in one of their Pilatis PC12 planes...More

This is a free museum, gold coin donation appreciated Its small, but very well curated, allow about 40 minutes and it nicely presents the incredible service provided by the Flying Doctor Service

Just a walk through display which was good but was hoping to see more up to date stuff and maybe a plane or a look at the actual station.

Sorry I can't remember as it was a couple of months ago, I remember it was a Monday and the hangar was closed due to their RDO, check with the Charleville information centre, they can help you.
