Mark started by pointing out that the joke is on most anglers who have the reel handle in the wrong side. From there the jokes kept flowing and the fishing spots better and better. It was a great day. Thanks mate!

There was no interaction other than "Good Morning", as you know it is an obvious attempt to drag down our ratings and recommend another operator.

I would like to know whether the time constraints from our cruise ship could still allow a good fishing experience , and what types of fishing would work. I am 75 yrs old and have enjoyed fresh water and ocean fishing, but am not very experienced. If we could start at 1:00 pm (from port), how long might we be able to fish and would there be a good chance we might be able to cook and eat what we catch? I There is a good chance another cruiser might want fishing also;,would that limit our choices and enjoyment ?

You don't mention what time you need to be back. However,I'd recommend that you email Gone Fishing Cooktown and ask them about a half day afternoon fishing.Fishing in the river is an option if time limits ocean fishing.
