Bruce Belcher’s Daintree River Cruises offer a one-hour wild life cruise. We are keen bird watchers and have a good eye for crocodiles and tree snakes, with crocodiles being spotted on 98% of trips, particularly in cooler months. We don't provide Daintree bird watching tours however the native bird life in the Daintree is abundant. We operate Daintree tours from our home on the banks of the Daintree River in a secluded wildlife boutique facility. Come and relax in our garden room, listen to the surrounding wildlife and enjoy a complimentary Daintree Tea or coffee before or after your Daintree river tours experience. Peruse our tropical souvenir collection. Meander through our lush tropical garden to our private jetty to board our vessel for a personal guided tour with Bruce’s 32 years’ experience on the Daintree River.

A++ would recommend, go to port douglas, don't stay in Cairn, there is much better to get out and about, and Exemplar shuttle was good, Thanks with Chris and Sixt, port douglas, way to go with these people.

Would highly recommend Bruce’s tour. Gave us a great Daintree river experience. Only saw 2 crocs being the time of year but very informative guide who shared his knowledge of the river itself, the crocs and birds.

The guide was great. Very knowledgeable and a real character. We knew prior to booking that due to it being November crocs would be harder to spot but still managed to see three along the way. Lots of good information and a fun and friendly tour. Highly recommended

Pleasant cruise with very knowledgeable, experienced local guide. Sustainable, crocodile-friendly approach. Fewer crocodiles spotted than usual since we were in lower season but guide went out of the way to communicate with other boats and circle back until we located a couple!

Had a great trip to see if we could see a crocodile in its natural habitat. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny and made the trip very enjoyable. How he spotted a green tree snake I’ll never know.
Not a lot of crocodiles around due to the time of year, but we did see a juvenile crocodile.

We found everything about this cruise to be smoothly run and enjoyable. We were able to book just the day before, which isn’t always the case with tourist activities but is helpful as flexibility is important while travelling. Our guide led us to a half-dozen sightings, which was lucky in part, but also demonstrated his skill in finding and seeing them. His commentary was also a good blend of humour and serious cautionary tales, which both reflected and instilled a healthy respect for crocodiles. Thanks for a great trip!

Only rated it 3 stars because it was a disappointment that we only saw the middle back of only one crocodile, could not see it's head or tail, and from a distance amongst reeds in the last 5 minutes of the cruise, might as well been a rock to the layman. We pretty much were conditioned the minute we all stepped on the boat that more than likely we wouldn't see any because of tide, water temp, time of day etc.etc. I know you can't predict nature but perhaps on their website they could suggest the best time of day or time of year etc. The river cruise itself was enjoyable and peaceful but don't pin your hopes on seeing crocs if that's your aim.

All the relevant information is readily accessible on our website within the FAQ section. Prior to booking their tours online or in the FAQs section, guests are presented with our wildlife disclaimer, which outlines that the success rate of crocodile sightings is 98% during the cooler months (June to September). This disclaimer can be found not only on our website but also on our brochures and across all affiliate listings.
We acknowledge that our wildlife tours may not cater to every individual's expectations. However, we must emphasise that downgrading your review of our small family business due to wildlife not meeting your expectations is disheartening. Many other readers may share this sentiment. It is vital for our guests to actively review the information they are booking, as, ultimately, we cannot guarantee wildlife sightings.

Nous avons visité pas mal de rivières dans le Queensland et les Territoires du Nord, c'est la rivière la plus "habitee" par les crocs
