Go up north of Daintree

North of Daintree river the real Australia begins... It is a most to go when in the area. The Sanctuary is also really nice to visit.

We had a great day here really getting back to true Australian nature. Plenty of wildlife to see and while we were here we also did the river train ride on the river itself. Must say the crocs here certainly not as active as in the Darwin rivers where they approach the boats and even come up out of the... More

Especially if you stay in their B&B, you'll get to know the kangaroos by name and their personalities and can enjoy the birdsongs when you wake up. They have a world-class collection of Australian animals. It is a trip you won't forget!

You can really see the difference between a well run wildlife park and one that is just there as a money maker....the animals will tell you.

Worth popping in for a visit. Well kept gentle and small zoo / sanctuary. Friendly staff and animals - well not the crocodiles! Our kids enjoyed feeding the Kangaroos and just wondering. You only need about an hour it is quite compact.

This was one of the most amazing places in Australia. Fantastic collection of animals that are so well cared for. The staff are extremely knowledgable, they offer free guided tours allowing you to ask questions along the way. You can feed and pet the kangaroos (my favorite). There is so much to do here, one day was not enough.

This was an excellent park and one of the highlights of our visit to North Queensland. Great interaction with the animals, an excellent variety, and obvious attention and care for the animals. We spent a lot of time talking to Trish, who was both very friendly and knowledgable. This park is definitely worth a couple of hours during your visit.... More

Couldn't agree with the above poster more. I live in Far North Queensland and have been to all the wildlife parks, this one surpasses them all. One of Australia's best collection of native parrots and finches; crocodiles, sugar gliders, emus, kangaroos, cassowaries, quolls, bettongs, dingos and more. Here you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner with the birds at the... More
