We just completed a 6 week trip of Far North Queensland and Wallaman Falls was by far the highlight. The walk to the base of the falls was so stunning, it was like being on the set of a Jurrassic Park movie! A great swim...More

The falls are pretty amazing but what makes this place extra special is the walk down to the pool at the bottom and the icy swim. It really is something special to see the falls from the top then just half an hour later jump...More

The drive was wonderful going from dry Bushland through dense rainforest finally arriving at the falls. Although the drive isn’t for the faint hearted or those who get motion sickness the views at the end are well worth it.

These Falls are well worth the trip. This is the highest single drop waterfall in Australia. We travelled there by motorcycle and I loved the challenging road. This road is not suitable for motor homes and caravan. Caution needs to be taken on the hairpin...More

Great place for either a day trip or camping. Camp grounds were well kept. Waterfall is worth a look as well as completing the walking tracks!!

Wallaman Falls was pretty spectacular. The drive up was scenic but be careful of oncoming vehicles. Some people were going way to fast around the bends! There was ample parking. With a few short steps you were at the top of Wallaman Falls. And it...More

We drove 160 kilometres over 2 hours to get to the falls from Townsville and we certainly were not disappointed. Visitors can drive right up to the viewing area so no great long walk to see what you came for. Queensland has had a very...More

The drive to the falls is beautiful but quite curvy. Road conditions are very good and the entire road to the view point is sealed. The falls are very impressive and have several excellent lookouts. You don't pay anything for that and toilets and picnic...More

After arriving at sunset on a North Queensland winter afternoon and taking a quick peak at the top lookout of the falls, I knew the following day would be special. The camp ground was spacious with a number of fire pits, long drop toilets and...More

There are fantastic swimming holes above the falls a short drive on up the road - freshwater turtles will join you! Best not to swim below, I'd say. The kids will be awed by the falls themselves. They are mega, as my 12 year... More
