Scenic and easy to drive.

Always something to look at! Booloumba Creek of this road is an awesome place for a swim and a picnic. And the Fig Tree Walk is a great little walk too

We dropped into this little gallery recently and we were pleased to see that the quality of the artwork is still excellent and the gallery is cool and well set out to display art effectively. We enjoyed discussing art and artists with the owner and learned surprising things about how difficult it is to be an artist nowadays.

I haven't been for a few years and it would have been nice to have a chat with the owner, as I have quite a few pieces purchased from there over the years. But today felt that there was little interest in us as customers, so had a quick look and left.

This gallery in the main street of Kenilworth has been successfully operating for around 20 years I reckon. I always enjoy my visits, with friendly staff, professionally hung exhibitions and an eclectic collection of other interesting arworks, glass, pottery, etc. They always seem to have quality artists, and the level of art works shown is consistently good.

When we visited, Lasting Impressions had a collection of paintings by various artists with national and international exposure. The owner's happy to explain the background to the works on display, and the history of an artist's endeavours over the years. Ken Gailer's work, displayed when we visited, was particularly appealing to us - but art is such an individual matter... More
