The beach, from the mouth of the Maroochydore river in the north, to the rocks at the southern end at Alexander Headland is stunning. It is approx 2 1/2 - 3 kms long with two surf clubs watching over it. The water was clear and a little cold to get into but beautiful after awhile. The beach was very clean... More

Well patrolled, straight beach, great for long or short walks. A large surf club lies at the centre of the beach. One block away, the Cotton Tree suburb offers several dining and snack choices. A top beach.

Great beach out of the hustle and bustle of busier beaches like mooloolaba. Short walk to the river mouth if you like to fish

Great for a walk, with plenty of action happening. Windy the day we went, so watched at least 15 kite surfers doing their thing, amazing action. Swim was pleasant, but quite a few waves, tho not too big. Lovely.

Have been walking and swimming at the beach this week. Fantastic warm weather. Big tides so the sand is not always perfectly firm, but mostly great for walking. Always clean. Water is salty, but great waves. Always swim between the flags, as rips are common.

We only walked along the beach, but it appealed because of the gradual drop into the ocean. Great for kids and non-confident swimmers! At this time, the beach has a wide stretch of sand. The tide was receding, so the surf wasn't really great. Parking is available, but I'd say that an early visit should be scheduled to guarantee a... More

Nothing compared to the likes of surfers paradise or Yeppoon main beach, but it's still ok, the surf is pretty rough so it's not great for little ones.
