Easy access to falls from carpark
Cedar falls is very accessible from car park. A brief walk to edge of water. At this time of year not a lot of water coming over falls but is still nice place to visit or even have a swim

    Must see! Spectacular waterfall.
The waterfalls are a must see if you're staying in the area. We visited in July and despite it being the dry season, the falls were flowing. They are quite spectacular! The water is quite chilly! Some people were swimming in bathers but we were glad we brought our wetsuits! I recommend aqua shoes too as some of the rocks are very slippery. There is a small carpark and toilets. The waterfalls are right next to the carpark so there is almost no walk at all. The drive there is pretty straightforward however the last section is a narrow road so watch out for drivers coming too fast around corners!

    Beautiful falls worth a visit
We visited the falls when staying at Airlie Beach. Easily accessible by car, we loved the swim and explore. Falls were going strong, despite little recent rain. Water was cold, be prepared, but we acclimated quickly and it was fine. We didn't need wetsuits. The rocks are slippery and can be sharp, so recommend you bring shoes that can get wet, at least to wear them to the waters edge. We stayed about an hour, others had picnics going. We swam to the falls, hard to stay there with the water pressure. Kids found a rope swing and rock ledge and loved jumping into the deep water.

We went there 28th Dec, it was raining and humid the water was cooling. Loads of people and navigating traffic on the dirt road is dangerous with larger cars
You can turn around at the end carpark.
The falls are 1 minute walk from car park.
Heaps of water and swimmers

Expected a lot more after doing similar trips elsewhere in Queensland. On a 32°C day (which felt like 35° or more), the aircon in our coach wasn't working properly. The driver rolled down his window to let in some breeze.

The falls and the pool was refreshing and cool, especially after the hot ride. We didn't walk to the top of the falls as the track was quite rocky and slippery, so we got more time to soak in the cool water.

We were taken to the Wyndham Club for lunch, not the Coral Sea Marina Resort. There was no morning snack.

There was no commentary during the trip, which usually adds to the charm of these small group coach trips. So, if you have a car, it's better to do this trip on your own.

Great spot for a quick visit. Car park was ample as people come and go quite quickly. Picturesque spot for photos. Water was a little cool for this time of year. The benefit of the cool temperature means that you are likely to get a great photo without people in your shot.....so it’s a win-win situation.

Great trip to a beautiful place. Ideal on a hot day. Quite a steep climb to the top but worth it. Followed by a refreshing swim in the pool at the bottom. Loved every second. Afterwards on to lovely lunch the Coral Reef hotel in Airlie Beach. A special thank you to our guides Sean and Jenny. Sean shared his knowledge of the ecology of the area in an entertaining and informative way. Especial thanks for Jenny being so supportive of my husband who was out of his comfort zone. Your patience and understanding helped him to thoroughly enjoy the day as much as myself and my daughter. Thank you Sean and Jenny

Easy to get to and the falls are very close to the carpark so super easy with kids. It was too cold for us to swim, but we enjoyed exploring around the area. To the right of the falls, we walked over the rocks and found other streams. We then climbed to the top on a path on the right hand side. There is a big swimming spot up there, even with a swing for the kids. Beautiful, hidden little spot. Worth the climb and you can safely stay away from the waterfall edge whilst up there.

We had an incredible time at Cedar Creek Falls! We hired a car and drove there, and it wasn't too difficult to find. There is water running over the road which is a bit of a road block, however if you don't want to drive over it, you can still walk to the falls which will take around 10-15minutes and is totally worth it. When we went, the fall was spectacular as the water was flowing heavily. It was a large swimming area, however it had a strong current but if you don't feel confident just stay in the shallow area. One of the best waterfalls I have ever been to!

We were there for 5 minutes, took us 20 mins to drive there and back. Not a single trickle as it hadn’t rained for a long time, but I read the reviews saying even during dry season it’s worth a visit. The falls were literally right at the car park so once there was no falls there wasn’t much else to explore. We tried to walk a bit down the rocky path and then met with mozzies so went home. Anticlimactic.

After much needed rain the falls where spectacular. We went on a Friday not many visitors. Water was cold and heaps of people enjoying the space. Drop toilet located nearby and short walk from car park.
