This was a totally unexpected find. Apart from local knowledge of roads, the cultural displays were very well constructed and presentation imaginative and informative. Some local fruit was on offer free of charge to visitors and we thought this was a welcoming touch.

Definitely call in here. We used the BBQ outside and enjoyed a leisurely lunch in the shaded area before exploring the info centre for 20minutes or so. It's free and even got given some lemons and limes to take home for free!

The staff are friendly and helpful and there are plenty of resources there. The museum and indigenous displays are well done and worth stopping to take a look at.

Run by volunteers and home of Heritage Railways. Lovely shaded sites, super amenities, quiet and yet right in town and ONLY $10.00 a night for power.

Although not a fully hi-tech Info Centre, the Visitors Centre has very good facilities with history of this past timber town. Toilets are very clean and free wifi is available. Staff are helpful and friendly. Brochures on local and neighbouring attractions are up to date...More
