There is an excellent information booklet that tells the stories behind the fallen men of Roma during The Great War. At each tree there is also a plaque that provides details on the soldier each tree is planted in honour of.

The bottle trees along the streets and the plaques underneath them make a good tourist attraction. The information about each person is interesting and makes for a personal introduction to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country

A really beautiful way to memorialize and honor those who lost from Roma, who lost their lives in WW I. To read the plaque below each Bottle Tree displays the tragedy these young men endured, but their sacrifice shall always be honoured with the beauty...More

How to describe this wonderful avenue of hero’s? For visitors this is a ‘must do’ - for those who live here in Roma you have to have something blocked out on your calendar for Anzac Day and if you don’t- you should do that now...More

Do the tour. It's very easy to find and a great way to learn about the region and current issues faced by farmers. They also help you to navigate your way around without getting stuck between opening and closing gates as the cattle are moved...More

A wonderful tribute to the soldiers from Roma. Trees are well maintained. The Anzac Day commemoration ceremony where wreaths are placed at every tree would be something to witness. A most thoughtful way to remember those who gave their lives.

The Heroes Avenue is impressive regardless of the time of year, but for ANZAC Day it is truly amazing. You can feel the historical significance of the place and the meaning it holds for the town.

Walked the avenues but it was very hot during the day recommend late afternoon or evening in summer. Plaques at each lovely bottle tree. Roma is a country town, this walk could do with a little spruce up to bring out the beauty of the...More
