What's big and beautiful and goes broom-broom? The National Motor Museum - located less than an hour from the centre of Adelaide, in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. The Museum features over 300 vehicles spanning over 100 years of Australian motoring history, from a steam carriage built in 1899 to modern hybrid cars. A diverse collection including motorcycles, cars, commercial vehicles, motoring curios and even a road train. The Museum is also home to the historic finish event of the famous Bay to Birdwood and holds the annual Rock & Roll Rendezvous every April with great live bands, stalls and hundreds of cars and motorbikes on show. There are lots of fun trails and interactives for families and visitors. The Museum can also cater to group bookings such as schools, car clubs, social groups and other events. It is the must see attraction in the Adelaide Hills.

Very nice collection.

This car collection in Birdwood is very nice and I do think car enthusiasts will enjoy it. They also have a large collection of motorcycle. Take a couple hours to see it. Enjoy!

I went with my husband and 4 yr old son who ran around with little interest which made it slightly frustrating for us. Overall it was an outstanding collection and very well laid out. It was a great walk down memory lane to see old cars we once owned as a family. My son enjoyed the drive in movie car... More

I'm not a cat fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I actually really enjoyed this experience. It was great to see so much history in one place. The venue is well laid out, the staff are incredible and the kids activities are quite fun too!

Without doubt, the Birdwood Motor Museum is one of the best in the country, if not the best. It has a huge range of cars, commercial and motorcycles, of which many highlight "Australiana" content and early history of motor vehicles in Australia. It has also become famous for the annual "Bay to Birdwood" Motor Fest (24 Sept 2017) for veteran,... More

This museum is tucked away off the main road and the entry does not indicate just how big this place is. The amount of cars, trucks and bikes in the museum is astounding. Vehicles arrange from 1900 onwards and include all the old favourites from Ford and Holden as well as Lamborgini and Maseratti. Give yourself several hours to enjoy... More

Called for a visit here on our holidays with family. This place is massive. Reasonable entry price and then onto the vehicles. From real old cars to only recent ones there is plenty to see here. You definitely need a few hours to go around and see everything. Very informative and a must if you enjoy cars etc
