There’s no better day out with the family than hunting through our patch to find the perfect strawberry. We've been running pickings at our farm since 1975, and never missed a season. It’s become an Adelaide institution during the warmer months from November to April. Visit our shop, grab a punnet and head in to start your hunt for just $4* (with strawberry prices usually working out at around $9.50* a kg). Just make sure you give yourself enough time to pick as our shop closes at 5pm! Children 13 years and under are free. Group bookings are essential - special prices for groups of children apply. Our Farm Shop is open 9am - 5pm every day of the year (except Christmas). *Prices are correct as of September 2013. Prices are subject to change.

We took the kids and picked our own beautiful fresh strawberries and ate a few while we did the work. They also have the shop full of beautiful produce (jams, sauces and even Honey) they also promote other SA companies and they do fresh strawberry icecreams .... Kids under 14 were free.... loved seeing all the kids walking around with... More

Visited today and stocked up on a range of beautiful chutneys pickles jams and other condiments. Tasting was cheerfully done on request. They are also able to post online purchase which will be great as we found so many new favourites.

Delicious pick your own strawberries, it can be quite a walk for older people and little legs, definitely worth it for nice fresh strawberries :)

The strawberries for their freshness and quality were well worth the price. The fields were full of berries!! It was such a great experience.

After a rough season beginning, weather wise, the strawberries are showing off all their glorious plumpness and juicy-ness now! When you think a punnet from the supermarket is usually more than $2.50 for 250gm- well, there IS no comparison really, is there? We appreciate your feedback. Hope to see you again soon! More

We have pick your own strawberry in the afternoon with my four year old daughter. The picking area is large. But there is no shades. Strawberry are $10/kg and we should have picked more. They are the sweetest strawberry I ever tasted. The jams are in good value as well.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write of your experience at Beerenberg. Isn't it such a joy to see the pleasure on the faces of little kids doing something so simple as picking fresh strawberries straight from the field? Don't wait too long to visit again..... More

My first time visiting and won't be my last. Loved the shop - it was great to see all the products in one place and to also watch the jam being made through a window in the shop. Then over the road and a short walk to the strawberry patch where you can pick your own, a couple of tips... More

We stopped in here to pick up some jam for my parents. This shop is absolutely amazing, all the different jams, chutneys, relishes we spent ages looking through them all and finding some great ones to bring back. We didn't pick any strawberries though but lots of people were out there in the patch having a great time.

I took some overseas visitors here for a visit when we were in Hahndorf as the strawberry picking interested them. Plus I needed an excuse to go to the shop!!! The strawberries were the most memorable. You buy yourself a punnet which is $4 per person to pick and you get a little wrist band then you walk across the... More

Thanks so much for your wonderfully effusive post. We love it when folks enjoy their visit as much as you obviously did. Great advice for other visitors too! Come back soon. And you're right- 8 months of strawberry season is not enough! One day we will have a cafe- it's definitely on our To Do list! More
