About
Six generations of stubborn, competitive growers and one equally spirited winemaker- that’s the Oliver family. Living smack bang in the middle of McLaren Vale, they flourish on producing perfect parcels of fruit on their 100 hectare ‘Taranga’ property. Their collection of small batch, handcrafted wines speak of both the variety and vintage, capturing a time and place, while continuing to document the family’s ongoing 182 year relationship with the land.

We really enjoyed the $15 dollar wine tasting experience which includes their magnificent olive oil plus bread and almonds. The tastings included a mix of reds and whites. If you like reds, you’ll love the Shiraz’s which were full of fruit and full bodied. Just do it!My daughters and I had the best experience at Oliver's Taranga, made so by the beautiful surroundings, delicious wine and food, but mainly by the professional, warm and knowledgeable service provided by Las (Maria!!). He was an absolute joy, and made our visit perfect. And the highlight of our four day trip in Adelaide. Fantastic hour spent with Mark hosting our wine tasting. Recently extended and renovated in a tasteful immaculate style. The wines we sampled were very good to excellent, his knowledge and infectious enthusiasm much appreciated. Loved the bread, olive oil, and other tasty tidbits provided, and to top it all off the 2 resident dogs provided great entertainment. Highly recommend this winery.

I visited Oliver's 6 months ago, and I have to say I find myself referring back to it constantly. The wines were so exceptional I had to sign up to the wine club, the service was the best in the region, and it made me want to come back for more. Hands down the best winery in South Australia

I've had a lot of wine tastings over the years and this was one of the best. Nick was super friendly, knowledgeable and generous. We left feeling absolutely spoiled having sampled so many award winning wines and great local produce. Specifically we loved their Reserve Grenache and their Shiraz. Their olive oil paired with the local bread also deserves a special mention. Can't recommend Oliver's Taranga Vineyards enough. We'll be back.

We had been to Oliver's 10 years ago and their reds had stood out so it was a must on our list this trip. We now had 3 children in tow and they were very accommodating in setting us up for a wine tasting outside where the kids had a bit more room. We ordered a beautiful platter to share (large) which was enough for us all to nibble at. We loved The wines and stories to accompany each one. Will definitely be back.

Mark at the cellar door did a fantastic job. We got juice for the kids and some fresh bread, olive oil and almonds for the adults. He was very knowledgeable and looked after us extremely well. Having visited 17 wineries on this trip this was definitely top 3.

A vineyard run mainly by women. Mel was amazing to talk to and very informative about the history of the vineyard and products. High quality wines and other products, like olive oil,.. Thanks Mel we really enjoyed your introduction and visiting your vineyard. Beautiful vintage combined with modern building. We also loved Marge.

Fabulous winery and wonderful cellar door. They have a great variety of wines to taste, each one with a story. Declan was brilliant at introducing me to their range, and I loved the provision of fresh bread, local olive oil and almonds. I could have stayed for 2 hours. Highlights were the reserve range and the wonderful surprise of the sparkling Fiano.

The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, obviously very proud of what they created and really good fun. Unlike many wineries, they were generous and had all the time in the world to make our visit an amazing experience. We loved the diversity and quality of wines as well and joined as members.

Could you please tell me if the hotel has parking facilities, if so, whether they are secure and how much they cost. Thank you.

Not sure you got the right place. There's just a bunch of parking lots outside for guests (for the wine tasting). But it's a tasting room ... not a Hotel. Parking is free. It's in the wine country....so I wasn't really worried about my cars safety, not like it's a shady neighbourhood.
