Really interesting museum based on the old Police Station and Court House but so much more - the town and locality’s history, agriculture, domestic life, etc. Time just passes by so quickly so allow plenty of time.
We were walking in the Melrose area and had a couple of hours after our daily hike to explore the town. This place gives you an understanding of the history of the area. Great to see some local Aboriginal input also.

This museum is on the Main Street and it is opened from 1pm to 4 pm. I loved every bit of it. It told lots of stories about the pioneers, aboriginal people and farmers. There was a police station here with a courthouse and cells....More
