We stopped here first and the Welcome to the town and the passion for what these two ladies do was terrific They talked us into staying The Night Light and sound show SPECTACULAR goes for about 75 minutes and WOW factor

Even if you are not a train enthusiast, you will enjoy the tour by a professional tour guide and the opportunity to come back in the evening for the Light and Sound Show. Very unique experience.

Peterborough is/was a railway town and Steamtown attempts to showcase their history and what is left of it. Knowledgeable guides in the daytime and a good "Sound and Light" show at night.

Good afternoon glen, during Nov to Feb guided tours are from 10am to 2.30pm and the sound and light show is on at night if we have 6 or more people. During our high season Mch to Oct tours begin at 9am and finish at 3.30pm... More

Steamtown is open between 0900 and 1700hrs. If you want to see all of it, you will need to book a guided tour which we found very informative, even being rail fans. There is also a light and sound show of a night which is... More
