Did the morning charter and it was great. An 8.30am start was perfect as we generally are not early morning risers.
Peter is very knowledgeable regarding the fishing industry. We went out with a young, just married couple and we all caught fish, which was great because it was the perfect number of people for the size of the vessel, nobody got tangled up in other’s lines. We were all experienced fishing people so Peter did not have to explain much to us, but we still all learnt some new things about how the fish are caught correctly.
We were roused on very politely if we didn’t obey his command, but it was all said in good jest, and nobody took offence. We had many laughs with some of the stories he told us.
Delicious fresh lamingtons and cold drinks were provided. There is also a flush toilet on board.
The catch was shared between the four of us so we were all happy. The King George whiting were great and easy to catch.
We were also impressed with the fact that if we did not catch fish for a little while, Peter would up anchor and move to another spot.
We highly recommend this company.

I went out with Peter on 22 May. I am travelling solo and joined another single and two couples. I used a voucher under the SA great state voucher scheme.
Tip: I booked a half day tour as I get seasick. But I took pills and I was completely fine. Because I booked a half day hour, it meant the others who had preferred a full day tour could not book on one. If you are catching fish, you do not want to be going home. Book a full day.
The boat comfortably seats six but you do have to be conscious of people next to you when casting.
Peter is very Safety First.
Peter took us to a variety of spots. The first he showed us how to bait up and cast our lines. His first cast he caught a fish. How good is this i thought! We moved when we felt the bites had gone off or were catching too many cod. We caught a vast variety of fish - about 16 nice whiting between 32-42 cms and some other keepers. Lots went back in. The whiting had been in good paddocks, some nice and fat.
We also got the opportunity to see seals and sea lions and dolphins.
Had a great day and you will too.

What a wonderful few hours on the crystal clear waters in Port Lincoln Bay. Peter was knowledgeable, patient with newbie fishing adults and children alike, entertaining and accommodating. Di's communication for our booking was efficient and helpful. We would do this trip again in a flash. Caught and cooked our own supper, saw dancing dolphins and had a truly lovely morning. Thank you.

Peter Dennis, what a legend, he's done it all and will happily tell you about it, Prawns, Tuna, Mussels, Kingfish... great dialogue in terrific setting. We saw the pens, seals, mussels etc, tasted sashimi and enjoyed Peters running commentary.

I had a most enjoyable day with Peter out at and around Thistle Island last week. Peter not only amused us with entertaining fishing stories but taught us so much about different fishing techniques in different situations. We fished in deep waters and shallow, sometimes there was a very strong current and sometimes we drifted and went with it. Our main catch of the day was King George Whiting but we also had success with several other species as well.
And just when we thought that was it for the day as we came into the bay, Peter educated us on how to clean and scale the fish by placing the fish in a mesh bag and dragging behind the boat. It worked a treat.
The only blooper Peter made was in the lesson of filleting whiting. He made it look so easy! But then again maybe I’m just a poor student!
Thank you so much Peter and Di for a truly great day (and the lift Di) - it was my first ever charter experience but hopefully not the last. See you next visit.

Was apprehensive about size of boat, but it worked out fine for a max of 8 guests. Peter is a font of knowledge re the Tuna industry, fishing & Port Lincoln in general. The tasting of top shelf tuna was very interesting & informative.

Peter was not only highly knowledgeable about the complete Pt. Lincoln fishing industry, he was extremely funny, entertaining and a highly skilled boat pilot. His boat was clean, just the right size, fast and well equipped. The sashimi tasting and appreciation was highly informative. Thank you Peter, highly recommended.

Peter’s vast knowledge of Port Lincoln and surrounding islands is truly refreshing. He is equally eager to ensure everyone on the cruise has a memorable experience. We had never held a fishing rod and by the end of the voyage we had all managed to catch some fish which we had for dinner later that day. This is must do tour if visiting Port Lincoln.

What started out to be a wet, cold and windy day was soon greatly improved by a stunning cruise with Peter, a local of 18+ years who gave us a very informative insight into the local Tuna industry, lifestyle, inhabitants and history of Port Lincoln and it's waterways. We were fortunate enough to witness first hand the harvesting and processing of the Tuna which has greatly contributed to the local wealth. Peter has a wealth of information to offer that I would defy anyone to improve or expand upon. His quick wit coupled with the tuna sashimi samples were an added bonus. We made our booking through the local Tourist Information centre who further assisted us with accomodation and weather forecasts for our stay in Port Lincoln.

We loved the trip with Peter, he included everyone on the tour and allowed several people to drive the boat under his supervision. He showed us the seals which was amazing, and was very informative about how the tuna and king fish farms all work, and what improvements there has been made to keep the fishing industry viable. He introduced us to sashimi and the taste test and information made us want to go and get some to take home.
