Great views of the gulf, the steel works and the town. Good lookout for tourists to get a feel for the area, well worth the trip up the hill

We arrived in Whyalla late in the afternoon, with little time before sunset, the lookout looked interesting from the marina. The interest was rewarded, the views over the beach and town are spectacular. Well worth the visit

Great History, Whyalla was built around Hummock hill, in fact in the early 1900s Whyalla was called Hummock hill before changing the name to Whyalla, you can see views of the beach, views of the city, and One Steel

Simple lookout, not very high but gives you a great view of the surrounding farms and all the way out to the ocean. Definitely recommend if you are in the area with a car!

Unfortunately the weather didn't respond to our wishes so wren't able to get a good pic of the sunrise, but was very relaxing . Managed to see a kangaroo hopping along the road. Lovely area to chill out and unwind.

Whether you climb the hill or take the east option via car. Hummock Hill is a place to visit. Great views of Whyalla, from the beaches, the steel works or the Steel City it's self. Great education and some climbing for kids.
