Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Totally recommend visiting - it's super beautiful, the wine is wonderful, and the hosts are incredibly nice and friendly!! It's a really special place. The whole area is very thoughtfully and tastefully laid out - there are well-curated and interesting exhibits explaining different wine characteristics, there are really nicely decorated rooms, and the setting is so beautiful with a relaxing courtyard. After learning a bit, you just want to sit, have a glass of wine, and relax for hours here!!

We discovered Höpler wines a few years ago through the Opimian wine club in Québec and have rapidly come to appreciate them. During a trip to Vienna, we paid a visit to the winery. Our guide, the lady Louise, greeted us with warmth, professionalism and passion. She proceeded to make us discover what makes Höpler wines special and worthy of appreciation. A holistic sensory experience awaits the visitor, who can see, touch, smell and hear about the wines and their different facets. Of course, the final touch lies in tasting the house’s various offerings, which is well worth the trip.
One can feel the everlasting passion that Jost Höpler has enrooted in his winery and which is still present today.
If you are in the neighbourhood, do drop by. You will be glad you did.

I can’t say enough about the wine experience at Hopler. You get to experience wine with all of your senses. Cristof Hopler makes you feel so welcome. I highly, highly recommend visiting this winery in Austria. I will return.

Take a short train ride from Vienna to Winden Am See and walk five minutes to a fabulous wine tasting experience. You get a sensory walk through wine(pay special attention to the colours of wine, we've never seen anything like that before), which reflects the Hoepler's philosophy that wine is personal and your wine preferences are unique to you. The winery is charming and historic and you will come away with a much better understanding of the local grape varieties, the local wine industry, and the passion of winemaking told from the perspective of a family with a long, proud history of winemaking in the region. The wines are delicious and well crafted, with attention to detail for every variety and vintage. We got to taste most of the wines and it was difficult to choose what to fit into the suitcase. Ice wines, late harvest, red, white, oaked, unoaked, it's all there to explore at surprisingly affordable prices. As folks who have tasted wines all over the world, we rank this winery at the top for both the experience that they have created and the wine. Also nice places for lunch in the town, an outdoor art gallery and other wineries, so make a day of it!

I was made really welcome by the Hoeplers during a visit to the Weinraeume.
They've created a lovely space to discover more about wine - the smells, tastes, look etc and have created a great balance between information and enjoyment. It was lovely to get out in the fields and to find out more about the whole wine-making process. I'm no great expert on wine, but it seems to me that Austrian wine is generally under represented which is a shame as this small country has a lot to offer.

I have never seen anything like those wine rooms at Hoeplers. That was quite an enjoyable experience! The way wine is presented there makes you value it with all your senses instead of your wallet: a lot of hard work, know how, tradition and above all true passion shone through the presentation. Christof and Louise are sharing their vintners' view of wine in a really engaging and personal way. The wines of our wine tasting at the end of the tour would have tasted differently if we hadn't gone through the previous eye openers. Recommended to everyone who loves wine.

One of the best places to relax, enjoy, taste and learn more about the magic of Höpler's winery. You receive in-depth guidance into the secrets of wines in general and feel the wonderful atmosphere of this beautiful family run place in specific. A place you don't want to leave anymore. Apart from that this place is an incredibly charming place for weddings - it builds a perfect scenery for the most wonderful day in your life. If you once enjoyed the friendliness and wonderful spirit of Höpler's you either don't want to leave or you come back again.
