Long 6 mile kayak trip

My friend and i did the 6 mi canoe trip out of canal fulton on a beautiful day in sept and we had tons of fun! The man running the place was very kind and helpful. We packed snacks to enjoy along the way. We saw turtles sunning themselves. We dodged a lot of low lying branches. And we stayed... More

My husband and I went kayaking Aug 26, each in our own kayak. It hadn't rained for weeks and the river was shallow and he got stuck on many rocks. There wasn't any current making the paddling very tough. The first 3 miles were fun but it was tiring the next 3 miles and we couldn't wait to find the... More

We went on a family canoe trip, our first time in canal fulton, the river or canal was pretty dirty, we counted 52 old tires in the river - that was only halfway on the 6 mile trip! The water was a murky green and even if it was 2 or 3 feet deep you couldn't see the bottom. Not... More

I have been going here for years with my wife and dog. All of a sudden the stop letting pets go except for "Dog Days" once a week on a Wed., I don't know who thought that was a good idea, but It wasn't. I will never go back and make the same recommendation to family and friends who have... More

Got here right as they opened. It seems that kayaking is more popular than canoeing but we had no reservation and secured a canoe to do the 6 mile trip. They were prompt in checking us in and getting us onto the water. The river was quiet at that point and rather shallow & despite quite a few fallen trees... More

Fun time heading down river with friends and family. Great time to get away in the summer and enjoy nature. Every month they have a moonlight canoe ride as well if you're interested in something different.

Not a bad river for a trip but the company has vehicles that are in terrible shape and dosent keep enough running. Waited more than an hour to get a ride back to the car. Try someplace else! There are other options for this river.

We did the 6 mile canoe and bike package. I had no problems getting information when I called, and the service was prompt and polite. The canoes were fine, but the bikes were in terrible condition. They were rusty and you couldn't shift gears properly. Since we were riding on the level towpath, this wasn't a major problem, but it... More

We called to reserve kayaks for our wedding party 3 months in advance. The young boy couldn’t take reservations so we were told to call back when the owner was there. We left a message that went unreturned the next day. The following day, my husband got her on the phone. She was extremely rude and told him that we... More

If you're willing to deal with some pretty bad customer service then the canoeing itself isn't bad. The staff moves very slowly and is not friendly. I had the coupon for 10% off on my phone but they refused to accept it without having a paper copy. This is the only place I have ever been that would not accept... More
