This is a very neat area of Cleveland. There are a few blocks to walk through with various stores, Italian restaurants and bakeries. Presti‘s bakery is quite gourmet with many Italian delights, they’re not cheaply priced at all. They have plenty of seating in their café. We chose an Italian restaurants and had a nice meal outside. The only caveat here is the parking. You can park at one end and have to walk. Parking was quite full and you have to pay for it. If you park on street u have one hour limit. Jace nice Italian museum, small but neat artifacts. If u are Italian or enjoy Italian food this is a must stop for couple hours

Our first time dining in Little Italy. There are many options with prices ranging from moderate to expensive. We were there on a temperate December evening, walking the strip from end to end, enjoying the night lights! Walking by restaurants, checking out the action inside. On a Wednesday during the Christmas holiday week, many restaurants were full. Saw some interesting storefronts. Stopped for gelato to enjoy while walking. Found one alley with Love is Immortal/L'Amore e Immortale murals....perfect for a romantic moment!!

We have never been to a Little Italy in any big city so we had nothing to compare. There were plenty of restaurants but not many shops. We went to a bakery and spent $50 to load up on all kinds of sweet treats and a coffee and hot cocoa. Parked for about $4 in a parking lot near the hospital and walked. There weren’t as many people out as we expected.

Just a note to tourists coming through Little Italy, the area looks nothing like it did decades ago.
I've lived in this general area all my like. It's a neat area but not nearly as quaint and authentic as it was.
The neighborhood is now increasingly being "renovated" with trendy but out of place condos, apartments and townhomes. And thus over crowded with young adults only temporarily living in the area for the "vibe". Which is fine but not at all quaint.
And the reason there's no place to park is simply because where there once was one home and one car, there's now a townhome with three cars.

As much as I enjoy driving through Little Italy to get to either end of the street for other beloved Cleveland areas, Little Italy is even more enjoyable when I can find parking to then leisurely eat, walk around, and snap photos of gorgeous architecture.
Although even if finding parking is impossible, I can still use a car app to boogie me in and out of the area when it’s bustling. Less leisurely, more urgent, but completely 100% worth it.
Highly recommended.

Quaint street with authentic Italian food. Cleveland's oldest restaurant Guarino's is there as well as some nice pastry shops.
We enjoyed seeing this area, albeit small compared to NYC or Boston. Still worthwhile visiting

Absolutely positively no parking. Anywhere. If you would see a spot, you can't parallel park because of all the traffic. Looked like the same restaurants either different names. We didn't see any gift shops. Don't even try to go.

It is like the North End in Boston only better cause it is not as touristy, and one really gets the sense of the neighborhood. Also like Boston, one cannot get a bad meal here. Try "La Docita Vita"

We went to a quaint, romantic little Italian bistro for dinner. There were alot of other Italian bakeries, gelato shops, and more. I loved this area and wished we had more time to spend there going from shop to shop. Be prepared for little parking, as it's pretty well-known and crowded. Great area! We will be back.

I am Catholic and greatly enjoy visiting the beautiful historic ethnic parishes in Cleveland, Ohio. Saint Kaismir (east 82nd/Sowinski), Our Lady of Lourdes (Slavic Village), and Holly Rosary (Little Italy) just to name a few. Recently, I went to a week day mass at Holy Rosary in Cleveland’s Little Italy. There are a few historic Italian parishes left in Cleveland. Holly Redeemer (Collinwood), Our Lady of Mount Carmel (6928 Detroit Avenue west side), and Saint Roccos (Fulton Avenue West Side). I do not have any Italian heritage, but love how they keep these historic churches going.

Parking is best found on side streets. It has improved since Mayfield road was repaved and improved.

How far is this from Progressive Field? Any price estimates on an Uber ride from the baseball field area to Little Italy?

It's about 6 miles apart. You can also take red line RTA light rail from Tower City to Little Italy. It's $3.50 for all day pass.

There are about 9 restaurants in the Little Italy area. For good Italian sit-down dinner, we like Angelo's Nido restaurant. It is good for larger groups and or smaller and has a bar attached. If you like more American with a Italian twist you might like The Tavern of Little Italy. For a Mediterranean twist you might like Mia Bella's restaurant . Maxi's of Little Italy is noted for its Pizza. hope this will help.

Mia Bella is actually run by Albanians and evidently the cuisines are very similar because they do Italian quite well! Maxi's supposedly is famous for its calamari; I have eaten it and it is to die for!
