An array of amazing fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and prepared foods. It is worth going just for the spectacle. But don't stop there! Fruits are fresh, meat is locally acquired. It is a great place to grocery shop.

On a slow Saturday afternoon my husband and I enjoy walking through the West Side market, less to buy and more to sightsee. I much prefer Costco for meats and Miles Market for fruits and veggies that I pick out by myself. But West Side Market features lots of foods I can't buy elsewhere: apple fritters that actually have apples... More

The West Side Market has it all - history, beauty and lots of great food! Plus it anchors on of the hippest neighbors in the city. For a great view, head upstairs where you can look out over the whole interior. Most of the vendors sell meat, fruits, vegetables and other components of a great meal prepared at home. But... More

This place blew me away!! The first building had every fruit and vegetable that you could imagine buying. We bought the best dark purple grapes and the raspberries were wonderful. The strawberries went bad within 24 hours. Wasn't happy about that. The second building had every raw meat cut in any way you could imagine. Beef, pork, chicken, fish, it... More

Add the West Side Market to your list of things to do and see when you are in Cleveland. There over 100 vendors selling fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, baked goods, and dairy products. Be sure bring your bags and a cooler. You won't be able to walk out empty handed.

We always make the trip to the market from Pittsburgh on the Monday after Thanksgiving. The market isn't crowded and all the vendors are happy and friendly. After so many years of doing this, we have a few must-buys, including Great Lakes Christmas Ale bacon, ravioli, Irish scones, jerky and, of course, canoli. The trip has become an enjoyable family... Just had a pastry following a brunch and very impressed with multiple vendors of meat, bakery and cheese options. The crowds certainly support that good food at good prices will attract customers!!

You don't have to be a foody, you don't have to be on the search for exotic foods, and you don't have to be searching for values. ALL that is there AND much more though!!! Cleveland folks cannot fully appreciate, until they've been there once, what a MECCA to shopping for EVERYTHING from produce, butchered products, special ethnic delights, and... More

The West Side Market is easily accessible from the RTA's red-line rapid-transit stop at Ohio City. It's in a historic building with many vendors. I buy ground organic flax seed, sunflower seeds, ground peanut butter, cheese, breads and desserts, and fruits and vegetables. I subtracted one start for the fruits and vegetables. The good produce is on view at the... More

As much as I love the West Side Market, I'm still not sure what the allure is. Yes, there are tons of vendors hawking fresh vegetables, fruits, and freshly made goods, but with very few exceptions, the produce is not local and it's not even priced before the going market rate. Inside the market you can find cuisine representing a... More
