We came by for a short stroll today. The parking deck seemed cavernous but the statehouse police helped us get to where we wanted to go -- outside on the grounds. Right between the parking deck and the metal detector entrance you can see rough-hewn rock emanating out of the wall -- it was rustically beautiful and certainly something I've... More

Art, history, politics, architecture are all highlights. Two cafes and a gift shop. Free tours including the senate and house and governor's office. Interesting historical facts. Very unusual architecture points.

We visited the Ohio State House when my son and daughter-in-law were visiting from NYC. We wanted something to do that would be interesting to them and this seemed like a plausible choice. We had a good time comparing the Ohio State House to the museums in NYC. It isn’t the MET, but hey it’s in Columbus and our history... More

The best part of this stop is to read the letters from soldiers. It should make you think and be thankful for those that serve. There is a touching letter which reminds you that the Holocaust was real.

Audio tours available. We decided to tour with a guide. Not an enthusiastic experience from our guide. Basically only time there was excitement in her voice was talking about Lincoln. We read more about the history after we left. A plain looking capitol building.

I went there about 10 years ago with my daughter's class. It is very interesting and the rotunda is fantastic.

Impressive architectural masterpiece in downtown Columbus. The Statehouse combines the old Statehouse with a newer wing. Lots of hidden treasures within so explore away and take in some of Ohio's rich history.

This attraction deserves to be on the "must-see" list of every visitor to Columbus. We have been to numerous state houses across the country, and Ohio ranks among the best we have seen. As other reviewers have said, it is beautifully maintained. I will add to that and say that it is absolutely loaded with history. Abraham Lincoln himself visited... More

The Statehouse is beautifully maintained and worth a visit if only to find out why the capital structure itself is truncated.
