Oh the rotunda!

This was a perfect Sunday afternoon visit with the grandkids. Ages 12 and 8 they were totally in love with the whole place. And it was free admission which makesit even better.

I've been here lots of times - for the restaurant, for the viewing of John Glenn, for the statehouse store wares, even just to wander around and stay warm (or cool) between meetings. The staff is courteous, professional, and unassuming - while being security docents - and the building is beautiful, and well maintained.

When someone says the word OHIO to me, my memory bank explodes with a big smile. I think of the image of the State Capitol Bldg and it history and yes, Lincolns Casket passed by on East Broad St. The Old Capitol Bldg is well preserved and open for tours. There is an under ground park lot and you are... More

I can't personally speak about the tour but as a building the Ohio Statehouse is impressive. It looks dramatic at night too.

Beautiful building with Greek architectural design. Tours are free and very interesting. Guide Dave was knowledgeable about the history of the building and the Ohio government. There's also a gift shop and a small museum. If you're in the city and need something to do, it's worth checking out.

I did not visit the Statehouse directly but wandered the grounds. The grounds are well kept and contain many statues and plaques. I enjoyed reading about the people who were important in the development and history of Columbus and surrounding area.

Free guided tour is very good. The State House has been redone and has a very good small museum in the basement.

A lot of history here. Ohio became a state in 1803. Great venue to visit for families or couples. Enjoyable.

My wife and I visited as a quick stop on a longer trip, and the stop was well worth it. Not the most exciting tourist spot--but quit interesting. The statehouse was renovated in the late 1990s, and the work was done to preserve as much of the original building as possible. The original state house of 1861 was in a... More
