Our visit was enjoyable. The mastodon skeleton was a big hit with 9 year old and 13 year old grandsons. They enjoyed the area with the animals on display. We attended the Cincinnati black history display as well as the presentation on breaking the color barrier in baseball. Both were enjoyable. We feel the Ohio History is an interesting and... More

This attraction is the place where we go with all visitors and just ourselves all year long. Our local grandsons have been raised here, from the children's area to all exhibits that change and increase with every year. All aspects of Ohio history are covered, and many eras. Part of the complex is another attraction, Ohio Village.

The evolution of our city-state and country unfolds and grabs you as you walk through the rooms. We enjoy the village and have attended a murder mystery diner there.

The Ohio History Center has undergone a number of changes over the past 30 years, some good, some not so good. One thing remains the same, it is a great place to spend a couple of hours learning and re-learning some of Ohio's amazing history. From the natural history gallery to the "White Castle exhibit on the second floor and... More

The building is beautiful, the village is great, and I especially loved the gift shop. Such an assortment of historical items and placed so that it is easy to navigate. A must.

This is a very nice museum. They have changing exhibits so some things may be a bit different when you go. We say a 1950's prefab house that was a very interesting.look at the post WWII era. The house is completely made of enameled steel and has some interesting features like a dishwasher that doubles as a cloths washer. There... More

This is at the Ohio Village next to the museum. We have taken the grandchildren for the last three years. They love all the old houses to visit and hear strange tales or see the kinds of things that were the norm in the 1890's. The parents and grandparents also enjoy it. I must say it's too bad it only... More

Be aware that the outdoor area is closed seasonally, which I think takes a lot off the table. I enjoyed the history portion, particularly the special exhibit on Civil War Ohio regiments. Also the current 50's exhibit is a lot of fun.

Many time periods of Ohio history can be explored here. If you were looking for something in particular, you could spend much more time here.

I was attending a wedding and had a few hours free. My parents and I visited and we all enjoyed the experience. The staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful. There is something for everyone from quilts, to topography and even a huge mastodon!! I was impressed by the collection and they places in the museum that encouraged hands... More
