On a recent drive by the Portage River northwest of Fremont on hwys 105 and 163, there wasn't enough water in the channel to boat any portion between Elmore and Oak Harbor. Other than a small city park in Elmore, I also didn't see any...More

We live in a campground on this river. It is very scenic. Great blue herons, geese families, cardinals, redwing blackbirds, robins, egrets. My neighbor says she sees eagles flying over the river. There are a few boats and pontoons, some jet skiers once in awhile....More
