HPLM is a wonderful place for all ages. The museum has a lot of interesting exhibits. The home is beautiful and probably not appropriate for children under age 8. Have a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Alot of history in the museum , the exhibits were great. We spent about 2 hour in the library and then toured the house. The house tour was fantastic. President Hayes bought quite a few items from a White House yard sale and had them...More

We decided to drive from Mentor, OH to Fremont, OH to check out this presidential library and museum and we're SO glad we did! This is only the second presidential museum we've visited, but we were highly impressed. The grounds are known as Spiegel Grove...More

This is a great place to visit. The home is very nice and includes original items. Per our tour guide, this home was occupied until 1965 by a Hayes family member and they didn't get rid of anything. The museum includes a lot of neat...More

Our nation's first Presidential Museum/Library! Plenty to see of the man himself in the museum - including his collection of Abe Lincoln's artifacts and a wall containing a letter from every president of the United States. The adjoining house is a treat due to all...More

We would like to visit the burial site without doing the tour or seeing the library. Is that possible? If we still have to pay admission, how much is it?

One correction to an earlier post - the museum and home are now open for tours (there was renovation going on the first part of the summer), admission to either is $7.50 each or $13.00 for both. You can walk the grounds and... More
