One of the most beautiful park in India! But not too crowded like Kanha and Bandhavgarh. Had amazing sighting of tigers and leopards.
The night safari was fantastic! Photographing big cats in the night was the highlight of my trip.

Although we didnt spot the tiger , the park itself was beautiful and really good , the flora is enough to take your breath away. Our Guide Dashrath singh and safari guide Vijay Thakur were excellent, gave us lot of time and explained a lot , and took a lot of care of us ... memorable trip

Ours bolted around looking for the tiger or a leopard (which we didn't see in three days tours) and almost disregarded everything else. Would have been nice to spend a little more time observing the plentiful other species here. Your chance of seeing tiger here is negligible

I visited to Satpura National Park from Panchmahri end. I think it is not so good like the Jaldapara National Park also Cost of the safari from Panchmohri end is higher. But a guide and a Jeepsy driver was with us. Both of them are very good persons. Try to their label best to found some beast into the forest. After that when we go for the sightseeing, Panchmohri authority gives a guide name Firoj and guide no-54 who is a very bad person in nature. I think he did not deserve this job as guide. But we book a car from Babu contact no 9425693714. Babu is a car driver and his behavior is very amazing and most cooperative in nature.

We visited Satpura as an alternative to the tiger centric parks of Bandhavgarh and Kanha and whilst it is a beautiful park with more varied viewing options, the growing population of Tigers is having a negative impact on the Sloth Bear and Leopards for which the Park was rightly famous.
We were told by our tour guide, naturalists and the park guides that as Tiger numbers grow (which some see as good) then the other wildlife in the Park suffers, with much lower sightings of Sloth Bear and Leopard over the last three years. We heard this from multiple sources, it is not one persons opinion.
Ironically we got to see Tiger, which we didn't come here for, but no Sloth Bear or Leopard across 6 drives in the Core.

The Jungle during this peak summer time is a tough place to do a safari. We spotted a leopard from pretty far off :-( and a Wild Black Mother Bear with her cub from pretty close by :-) But Tiger Sighting is difficult here from what i felt.

My first encounter with the wild... We had a chance to experience both, the Buffer area as well as the Core jungle. Both parts have different things to offer. Scenic, enthralling and humbling. The quick boat ride to the core in the wee morning hours was a joy to the eyes. Due to the extended monsoon, the forest was greener than ever. Lush greens, thick bushes, and breathtaking water bodies. However, this also meant difficulty in spotting the big cats in the thick forest. During this trip, we enjoyed nature's company with the symphony of birds- we spotted such a pretty variety of birds. We will come back in January for a better sighting of the big cats!

Located 30 KM inside the main highway (Madai Gate). Once you reach Madai, you need to take boat ride and then you will reach Madai gate.

Its a beautiful set-up by forest department, so good job team.

"IT IS CLOSED ON WEDNESDAY POST LUNCH". You will have to park your car near MP Tourism hotel.

Must visit place.

Unlike Kanham Pench and Bandhavgarh, Madhai in Satpura Tiger reserve inMadhya Pradesh is comparatively a lesser known destination as far as wildlife tourism is concerned. It is relatively less frequented by tourists and the nature in this tigerland is still pristine. Added attraction is the Denwa river which flows around the reserve. Arriving in Pipariya, a small torn by Mumbai Mail from Howrah at around 10.15 PM, we spent the night at M.P Tourism motel which is just outside the railway station and booked a jeep to take us to Madhai next morning which is around one-and-half hour drive from Pipariya. Like other tiger reserves in India, in Satpura one has to book safaris online. Armed with the booking from the forest department, we crossed Denwa river by the motorboat. A guide was allotted to us by the forest department. In the first jungle safari, we encountered a sloth bear which was crossing the road. Apart from this animal, we has seen Indian bison, Sambar, Spotted dear but did not have the
luck to spot either a tiger or a leopard despite our best efforts. The reserve has quite a lot of avian life and those interested in birds may find out many. The most frequented zones at Satpura is Madhai and it requires almost a full day to visit Churna. One can also visit buffer zone of Parsapani. With an area of 1427 sq km , Satpura tiger reserve consists of Bori, Panchmari sanctuaries besides Satpura.

We had booked evening full jeep permit for paraspani Online @1250 ,as of Core area (madai) was showing full online. When we arrived at point on the booking date , we saw there were brokers around at the counter was asking for Core area zypsy by paying thousand of rupees more.when we enquired at the counter they denied for the same.

Before 2 days of arrival , Division office in madai informed us over the phone about the charges we need to pay in cash apart from online permit booking and the same was 2500 for zypsy and 500 for guide, in total 3000 which one has to pay in cash at counter.
on arrival day when we ask for the payment , Mr Naresh @ counter informed us that charges you have to pay is 3800, when we told him that we have been informed to pay only 3000 from division office , they simply say that we dont know what has been communicated to you.

After paying 3800 + permit( 1250) in total more than 5 thousand rupees for 3 hrs ride, we started our journey in zypsy with one guide and one driver.During whole journey we did not feel that we are in open jungle of satpura , and at the end after efforts of our guide and driver even , we did not see much animal apart from Bear and some Birds.

so over all me and my family experience is not good as far as miscommunication of chrges ,high charges of Zypsy etc, and there were no animals inside the so called huge jungle of satpura.
