The beach is nice and long. Lots of shops and eateries. Only thinpg missed, is a decent place to have a cup of coffee. Lemon tea was available on the old beach though. Cleanliness is also an issue. Otherwise a nice experience.

Puri is a place of peace, the waves of Bay of Bengal and cool breezes make it very pleasant place, model beach is calm and awesome.

Except at certain patch, where it is fully encroached by BHEL WALA. It becomes an eyesore. And sea is slightly violent. May not be very safe to swim.

Beach you can go but don't even think of going even near the sea. Better you don't drink during that night.
