I cycled up in the early morning sun. Approx 2 miles. Wild flowers blooming and grapes forming on the vines. Wild thyme and oats underfoot. It did not matter that I could not enter as the solitariness is part of it charm..

I attended a concert on the grounds outside the church. It is quite lovely. Another time, I went up and had a picnic with a friend. It was open both times, so I think I was lucky!

Beautiful and idyllic location - excellent views from up there. Shame there is not more information regarding the place, it's history and ability to see inside.

I appreciate why there's has to be restricted access, but 2 hours a week (from memory I think it's Sunday afternoon) is a bit rich. This lovely little church is quite isolated, so you really have to be in luck to catch it open. Surely more generous opening hours could be arranged as a concession to the visitor who doesn't... More

If you are in the area visit this quiet little church. Lovely views from the front door. You will be pleasantly surprised by this hidden little gem of a place.
