About
Acqua Plus Water Park was the first ever water park in the area of East Europe. It was also the first in Europe to create and put in use the so called cashless system. Build only few minutes from Hersonissos in Crete it is with no doubt the most popular water park in Crete. The combination of water slides, natural environment and great people make this theme park a unique proposal to spend a day during your vacations.

- Helen A4 contributionsAcqua Plus Water ParkThe big rides don't start till after 12 noon as they don't want to man them earlier. I did not rate this park at all. Kids wanted to leave. In hindsight, Water City is a better option as it has more to do and more activities. Ladies at the canteen are very unpleasant, rude and obnoxious. They yelled at a few of us. Nuggets tasted like rubber and would not let us improvise menu with no chips. There was a young guy that was sick next to us and wanted a souvlaki stick and nothing else but could not purchase that as he had to take the plate with all the other food. My son didn't want his meal in the end due to the ladies rudeness.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 4 July 2023
- Simon BDarlington, United Kingdom1 contributionFelt datedYou wear a barcoded wristband to add food/drinks, locker and optional photo charges to, then pay up at the exit. Bringing your own food is discouraged but not impossible. Most of the slides are ok, but the park feels dated - like going back to the 90's! There was a major shortage of inflatable tyres which a lot of the slides need - we saw people fighting over them as the day got busier. The main olympic size pool was nice, and far away enough from most of the slides so it wasn't heaving with people.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 23 July 2023
- Iwan CCopenhagen, Denmark9 contributionsAwesome splashesGreat place to spend the day! We rented a car, to go to Acqua Plus as the first stop on our journey, and it was a great experience. We had lots of fun. You'll pay for a bracelet that gets scanned, each time you order drinks, ice cream, food etc (restaurant opens at 12:00). They scan your barcode, and you pay when you exit. The "hardcore" half of the park opens after noon time. Meaning the crazy slides. We didn't try those, but they look insane :D It's not the cheapest place to eat, but, hey, they have to pay their water bill somehow! We had an awesome day. Go here!!Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 28 July 2023
- L34WhiteRoseLiverpool, United Kingdom36 contributionsDecent day out, but badly in need of investmentOn the basis of having had a decent day out, it’s gets a 3, to counter balance numerous negatives. Decent rides, large space, lots of beds and umbrellas, not too crowded and so queues never too bad. But if this place is still open in 2-3 years time, it will have needed some major investment and tarting up. Can only assume it’s a victim of the impact of Covid on tourist traffic - looks like little has been done to maintain / improve rides or facilities in perhaps five years. Staff numbers are lacking, which leaves chance of safety issues. Gardens becoming overgrown, walkways very slippery and ridiculously steep in places (why not steps ?). Entrance to the park was painfully slow. One person taking tickets or payment and one person attaching wristbands. Tip. Ignore the “no food / drink” rule. There simply aren’t enough staff to even bother to check. And the food offering is predictably average (although gladly not the rip off prices it could be).Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 15 August 2023
- Megan WKingston-upon-Hull, United Kingdom9 contributionsFun dayWe absolutely loved our day here. The rides were really fun and had a range of them. There was lots of sun beds. The staff were really helpful. I've seen reviews saying it's run down etc but I'd completely disagree as it has cheap admission and most water parks abroad are in the same condition. The food wasn't the best but that wasn't the main priority of the day.Visited August 2023Written 19 August 2023
- Kevin TurnerNewcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom17 contributionsAvoid but cheap to get inProbably the worst water park I’ve ever been to Slippy surfaces everywhere on the ramps up to the slides all the carpets are either missing or damaged. Lack of lifeguards throughout the park The whole place needs knocking down and rebuilt the place is dropping to bits tatty and dirty There’s one lifeguard watching over three slide pools and they are not even dressed in a lifeguard uniform Wish we had gone to water city further away to be honest. The food was poor aswell .waited over half an hour in the heat outside to get in as slow queuesVisited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 25 August 2023
- Brandielynne CToronto, Canada66 contributionsFun slides if you don't get trampled. Great for small kids in the kids playgroundThis water park is fun for kids. As an adult it was hard. The safety is questionable. I went down a large waterslide when the lifeguard gave me the okay to go. I ended up almost colliding with a small child half way. If I wasn't wearing water shoes to slow me down I may have hurt her, which is so dangerous. Lifeguards at the big slides seemed not to really be paying attention. We had a 4 year old with us, and the slides for the kids were way more fun than the bigger slides, simply because the lifeguards were not keeping order on the big slides and I was getting shoved and pushed by the groups of teenagers. Good food, very good value for food and drinks. There were lots of sunbeds everywhere. The washrooms were being cleaned at a point so we couldn't use them at that time. The workers were just a bit fear inducing. They did not seem to have proper training or safety training and we're not paying attention. The lazy river was good since there were no teenagers in it as well. Nice and relaxing, and the large pool was also pretty enjoyable. All in all a good place to visit. I liked the cashless system it was very smart. The lifeguards at the kids pool playground area were paying attention and very attentive to what was going on, feel that's important to mention.Visited August 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 31 August 2023
- Ejd1056Beckingham, United Kingdom198 contributionsGood day outWe came here for a day out on a recent holiday and were pleased with our experience. It wasn’t too busy and you could easily get on everything you wanted to. Yes some of the slides are dated but you get what you pay for and for what we paid we were pleased. There is plenty to do, plenty of sun beds and the food at the restaurant is reasonably priced. Worth a tripVisited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 September 2023

Turned up to the park on Monday while we were on holiday in crete only to find out it was closed. I have paid for tickets for 3 of us. I have asked for a refund (the fact the park is temporarily closed was not stated on the website and all locals we spoke to including the taxi driver was not aware it was closed), still waiting for a response to my email. A waste of money on tickets and 40 euros on a taxi!

This was one of the best waterpark experiences I’ve had in years.
The waterpark is really spacious and has so many slides within it. This meant that the longest queue we had was 10 minutes, but we barely spent any time waiting in lines which was brilliant and made our day enjoyable.
Some of the flumes are a bit older and therefore we found a few rides a little painful as you slid over small cracks but it was fine and there were so many different slides to try out.
The Olympic size pool was great too.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
I really recommend this place for a fun family day out, particularly with older children

Had a brilliant time at the water park, purchased 2 excellent photos taken by the professional photographer, unfortunately I put the wrong email in and never received the photos, I’ve emailed multiple times with no response even got through to someone on their messenger page who said they would pass on the correct email I gave them and send the photos out, 3 days later still nothing, and can’t get a response from the water park.
Ruined an otherwise great day

Can't go further than say, 10mins in the park, my partners 1st ride with our 2 kids, asked by a member of staff to leave her glasses at the bottom by a member of staff, £280 prada glasses gone when she got to the bottom, basically said he'd left for 30 seconds to blow a ring up, there was nothing he could do, absolutely out of order 😡😡😡😡😡

Great selection of water slides and not too crowded but in need of refurbishment in areas. Beware of slippery floors - we saw many people slip over! Also steep hills rather than steps.
Food ok and reasonably priced.
Overall a great day out!

The water park has their own return shuttle service, which is the cheapest option - included within park ticket.
€41 euros for 1 adult ticket and return shuttle.
To make a booking, contact them via Facebook Messenger (very impressive response time).
Don’t bother emailing them as they won’t respond.

Sorry about the slow delay.
Ask on the way in or any member of friendly staff.
I saw plenty of that age/similar queueing up!
We queued with our daughter who’s 11 and myself and she had second thoughts doing the Tsunami!
Still I hope it was worth it.
