Its the first time I have been back here since I was a kid. Growing up we knew one of the Jordan family and in the summer swam in the Mill Pond, so the nostalgia value was great for me. I loved the food and feel in the riverside cafe. The staff were all friendly, and one guy, Tom, was... More

I went for breakfast this morning at about 9:30. The breakfast was okay, good value for money. The atmosphere was nice; it was lovely and quiet, perfect place for a catch up. Looking forward to going again and going for a tour. Will definitely look into the afternoon tea.

We visited on the first day after the refurbishment and found the service acceptable. Just. On our second visit the service and organisation was atrocious. the system has again been changed and after ordering at the till at 15.11 we waited 40 minutes for two pots of tea and a scone. Although the cafe was busy most families were on... More

Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry for the experience you had during your recent visit. We have unfortunately had some issues with our new system of ordering and it has taken longer than we would have liked for the new system to bed in. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused. More

The restaurant is a lovely place to eat by the river with a good selection of healthy options. We often drop in for tea or coffee and a chance to pick up a large bag of Jumbo oats or jars of pickles produced in Sandy. The building of the restaurant was a little delayed but it was well worth the... More

We visited Jordan's today for somewhere to go in the half term holidays. Watched the milling process, used the discovery room, had a lovely wander around the gardens and a delicious lunch. Go if you fancy somewhere to while away a couple of hours. I'd imagine the gardens will look amazing come springtime. We will be back!

We've been to Jordan's Mill several times. Previously, when it's been self service, it's been great. Good service with great food. After the refurbishment with a change to waitress service, it is no longer that great. We're shown to a table and we're then left for thirty minutes. Had to ask for menus and then waited for order to be... More

Thank you for your feedback. As you point out, we have made a few changes to our ordering systems since we reopened; following customer feedback we have reverted to placing food orders at tills, with staff then serving food and drinks to tables. Whilst we are still getting to grips with our new system things are improving. We look forward... More

Visited here for a snack and coffee. Very nice location and grounds, has a on site shop for products made on site. When we visited it was very busy and getting a table to sit at was a problem. Alittle pricey

We recently visited this water mill, that included a guided tour of the workings of the mill (in action), followed by a lovely cafe lunch. The associated potager was a real delight for any horticulturists (and none). It also had a small nature trail which was very interesting especially for the grand children. Worth a visit

We're really pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit to Jordans Mill and touring our working watermill. As you say our Mill Gardens are rather special with their mix of cereal crops, fruits and vegetables, and flowers, as well as our Let's Go Wild trail for younger visitors.
