Amazing place, helpful and friendly staff. would recommend to any wanting to experience axe throwing for the first time or just getting you viking on !!!! Also potential to join a 🪓 axe throwing league. Shout out to Dan and thankyou for the best experience on a birthday weekend

Our son and daughter in law booked this for us all, we didn’t know what to expect, originally I was just going to watch but as soon as I saw what it was I decided to take part, I’m so glad I did, the young girl who was our supervisor and instructor was absolutely amazing… she was very patient and made it so much fun. It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning and suitable for all the family, we were not great but got better as the session went on but next to us were some young boys who were fantastic… one young lad was only 8 and he was absolutely amazing and thoroughly enjoying himself. I would highly recommend everyone to have a go and even join the club🪓🪓🪓

This is the second time I’ve been to Valhalla and I’ll definitely be back again. Staff are fantastically friendly and get you settled and safe in no time. There are drinks and snacks available on site and the toilets are in a good state (important part of any review!). We had a 90mins booking, which was perfectly timed - you find you don’t want to stay any longer because your arms and shoulders are getting tired, but the pacing of it is relaxed and you can always take your time with the throws. The games are challenging for beginners but not so hard that they’re impossible - again, perfectly pitched. Having compared other axe throwing places in the area, Valhalla is definitely your best value for money. Often other places will only give you an hour for the same price or more, and the experience itself is worth every penny. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole session and will definitely be back!

Brilliant venue great concept and teaching from Dan. Will visit again. Great fun and well worth a visit for anyone. Iv been waiting to have a go for a long time and really glad I did.

This was our second time axe throwing. First time was with a different company (Game of Throwing) in Newcastle. I enjoyed the first time but it was nothing compared to our experience at Valhalla North. The main difference between the experiences was that the session at Valhalla North was instructor led throughout. Our instructor, Izzy, began by walking us through how to throw the axe. After that she was always nearby to give us tips, help with scoring and provide us with fun competitive games to play. The session was an hour and a half overall which is longer than the session we had at Game of Throwing and was also cheaper. I will definitely be making many more bookings at Valhalla North and I do hope to see Izzy there again as she was a brilliant instructor.

ANOTHER great session @ Valhalla North today! I was with Dan as my Instructor (who is brilliant) and throwing aside Darren (2nd runner up in the recent European Championships) 🪓💥 HOW COOL IS THAT!!! Great people, great place, great fun! Seriously, if you haven’t been here.. 5x🪓

Bought as a Christmas present for my boyfriend and now wondering what took us so long to get booked in. Had one of the THE best nights ever!!! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by Carl & Kat. The safety briefing put us at ease and Carl looked after us the entire time we were there. Correcting throwing positions, stance etc. We quickly got the hang of if and got competitive with the games he set up for us. It was warm work but he even set up a fan for me! Haven’t laughed so much in ages! Had the best time! The whole atmosphere of the place is spot on, playlists were excellent too and bf appreciated the American beer. Took some fab photos, especially on the throne and even managed to win a medal coming away victorious 3 games to 2 yay!!!!!! Cannot recommend Valhalla enough! Excellent value for money and being taught by such passionate and skilled people made a huge difference. We can’t wait to go back!!
