The mere is in the centre of town and you can walk around it, there are plenty of benches to sit and admire the view. There are toilets close by as well.

The Mere is inhabited by many birds, and they seem to be non-stressed by all the visitors! You can just sit & watch the comings and goings here all day, a favourite place for locals to meet & chat too. The WC block could do...More

The Mere is right in the centre of the town and is a great place to relax. Birds, Ducks and other wild life all share this ancient lake. I would imagine that it gets very busy here in the summer months.

A plaque gives information about this site, but without good weather there is little to hold you here. It's a nice place to walk around when visiting Diss, but you would need good weather to cause you to spend more time here.

A largish lake (Mere) formed from an ancient sink hole is the centrepiece of this park, surrounded on two side by the shops and businesses of this small market town. There is a good selection of eating, refreshment establishments adjacent and a regular street market...More

This may be too late for you, but there is a small car park alongside the mere. Alternatively, there are two supermarkets within very close walking distance, both with car parks.
