Found this on last day of holiday. If weather good could spend all day; but pricey. Need to plan beforehand to see if worth it. Children's play area is set at 2 hours and need to choose a session time. Good cafe and gift shop.

Thank you for your review. For the benefit of other readers, I just want to provide some further information in relation to your comments. We benchmark our admission prices against other Norfolk attractions and if you compare our prices to other attractions in the area, contrary to public perception, we are very favourably priced. There's definitely enough to explore, see... More

This has become famous not least because BBC's Springwatch has been here. There is so much to see and do. There are plenty of seats, good signposting, and free wheelchairs are available and can be used on many of the paths; a leaflet usefully shows which. The café is excellent with both indoor and outdoor seating, and there is a... More

A bit expensive, but you can easily spend all day here. Also a percentage of each entrance fee is contributed to conservation projects. Loads to see and do. The grounds of the reserve are extensive and has wildfowl from all over the world.we also paid the extra 3 pounds each for the discovery trip. Wonderful! Our guide was fantastic and... More

What a great review, thank you! And lovely to hear your son had a very fun-filled and exhausting day! Lovely to hear that you enjoyed our Pensthorpe Explorer trip - getting to see behind-the-scenes of Pensthorpe and the extensive area that the reserve covers. The admission prices are bench-marked against other family attractions in Norfolk. And if you take a... More

This is lovely parkland close to the small town of Fakenham in North Norfolk. It features lovely Wildroots Trail, a Wave, a Millennium and Habitat gardens which are also worth a visit. We loved the Wensum wetlands and its myriad of bird species. The kids cavorted in the play areas both inside and outside and we enjoyed the cafe which... More

Absolutely love this place, not the first time we have visited and it is still so enjoyable! Little one doesn't get bored at all, she loves walking round looking for the stamps and spotting the wildlife. The outdoor play area is so much fun, and lots of choice for the kids and the big kids! Not sure who had the... More

What a lovely review, thank you! We're so pleased to hear that you take advantage of the changing seasons in our gardens and reserve and visit us throughout the year to enjoy it all. Maybe you would consider annual membership? It may work out cheaper if you visit us often. We hope to see you again soon! More

What a dissapointment after paying £11.95 entrance fee each. In I rode on my disabled scooter first we came to the first closed area so carried on along a path. The first lake was ok with ducks then through a path with a few trees no birds here. We went about half a mile and came to a hide at... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to Pensthorpe, however we are very sad to hear that you only feel we are worthy of 1 star. Up until this weekend (18th March), we had to take our bird collection off show, as ordered by DEFRA in light of the Avian Influenza news. This had been the case... More

Although excellent for Bird Watching this place fell well short of our expectations in that it failed to focus on essentials such as adequate toilet facilities and poor dining location. The toilets were outside the facility and away from the dining room ! If there were more then we did not find them. The dining counter was small and cramped,... More

Thank you for your review. We do value our customer feedback and take it seriously so we are sorry to hear you felt our business was too commercialised, however there are several inaccuracies that I wish to address for other readers' benefits. We had a lovely day out here despite a couple of sleet showers! We really enjoyed walking around and visiting the hides - the woodland one especially was brilliant! Our only gripe is that whilst we appreciate the reasons for some areas being closed off it was a shame this wasn't mentioned on the website so we could decide whether... More
