This was our first visit to Thursford. It is easy to see why so many love it, and others hate it. It is very low brow and like an old fashioned variety performance with plenty of sentimentality. It is also extremely slick, well-performed and beautifully geared to the audience. The comedian is funny without being blue and the whole experience... More

Thursford Christmas show keeps getting better, even though we have been attending for over 20 years we still come away amazes at the spectacle of it all and it we use as our start to Christmas. We are slightly disappointed by the inclusion of 'variety acts' and preferred it when these spots were used as solos for Phil Kelsall, who... More

Spectacular show with a cast of over 130 singers, dancers and orchestra. As good as any West End show. We opted to go the matinee from 14.00hrs to 17.00hrs. Allow extra time before and after to view the vintage collection of steam rollers, Carousels and organs. The Christmas lights are lovely and Santa's Magical Kingdom (£5 extra with show tickets) is... It was the first time that my wife and I saw the show and we were amazed at the dancers and how every one performed, they were truly amazing. The only drawback was that we had seats No. 32 and 33 in row N and and because their are large pillars supporting the roof and from these seats you cannot... More

We visited the Christmas spectacular and spectacular it was. I cannot praise the cast and crew highly enough. We went to the matinee and came out in the dark to a magical scene of the trees covered in fairy lights and mood music _ not at all tacky, just magical.

My first time. My only time. Time warped back into the seventies - three hours of mindless entertainment and horrendous releasing of white doves at the end. I realise I am In a minority and clearly this show is much loved by many people. Which I find immensely worrying and very hard to believe.

Back in 2012 I wrote: Christmas at Thursford runs from Mid November until Christmas each year. A truly spectacular and breathtaking Christmas show highlights a magical Christmas for children of all ages from 8 to 80 and beyond. Well, we havent missed a year yet, but this years show was unbelievably FABULOUS. Not a second of the 3 hour show... More

This was my fourth visit to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and I certainly wasn't disappointed. What a wonderful afternoon of professional dancing, singing, music and fun. The comedian was really good and I would like to know his name. He was so funny. The lights outside the venue and the decorations inside the barn were also spectacular and the whole... More
