A lovely location to spend a sunny spring afternoon. We loved all the different gardens (fee of £5.50 per adult, map supplied), and the human-size badger sett. The riverside bird hide was a great spot to see a kingfisher. Dogs are welcome, on a lead. Lots of other walks in the area if you want to make a day of it, including Bayfield Bird Walk, and a shorter walk to Glandford ford (ideal for a dog paddle). And shopping, too, at Cley Smokehouse, Cley Spy and Birdscapes.

This is a superbly peaceful place with paid access to a beautiful 5 acre wildflower experience. Really connects with nature and is good for the soul. Also, interesting shop and great café with outside eating in good weather. Dedicated parking.
Wildflower plants for sale and owners are extremely knowledgable

We’ve been coming here since we moved to Norfolk 7 years ago and have always appreciated, if not downright loved the place. Cheese on the toast - the best in the land, good, healthy pots of tea and toasted tea cakes - plus you can watch the birds feasting on nuts and seeds while consuming the above. BUT something has changed - is it a victim of its own success? A reduced menu and cakes and savouries that wouldn’t stand up to scrutiny. The saddest thing of all are the staff - whom were always lovely (sometimes service was slow - but no one cared - it was done with a smile and this is just a little cafe after all) - now replaced by a rude, short- tempered older woman who should never be public facing due to clear lack of aptitude for the job. I can handle no cheese on toast past a certain time and no tea cakes because they had been busy, but I cannot handle rude, off-hand serving staff. Let’s hope she’s not there for long.

what a lovely place to visit! We had a lovely afternoon here on the recommendation of friends, a lovely pot of coffee and a big slab of cake after a wander around the stunning grounds. These gardens are far from manicured, but have a delightful quality about them. Hoping to visit again in the winter to see the barebones of the gardens, always a good way to see gardens you love.

The gardens were very peaceful and relaxing. Saw different varieties of wildlife around, even some fish in a very clear river. Well maintained and coffee was good.

We followed the signs on a whim, and found this place, tucked away in a quiet spot. I liked the ethos of the place. There was much of interest around the place. The cakes are excellent! Sitting in the garden, in a shady spot, with a good cup of coffee and a lovely piece of cake - what could be better!

We first visited this garden, possibly thirty years ago, but somehow we had forgotten it. A change from most gardens and very welcome to see thing growing naturally and allowed to do there own thing. The little cafe is excellent and you can sit at tables hidden away among the planting. We went for afternoon tea with lovely cakes and then returned next day for lunch.
